I’m moving to Portugal in 2 weeks and feeling overwhelmed with how to access regular blood tests and find a compounding pharmacy to make up my liquid T3 meds and some other meds that are prescribed by my consultant. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Also would a Portuguese pharmacy

Hi Everyone, posting my 1st ever private blood tests. Please can anyone comment, I'm quite new to this. The results came with a Dr's overview, so I'll be taking Vit D supplements but the other results appeared 'normal'. What do you think? And do the autoimmunity antibodies indicate Hashimoto's or am

I've been reading this forum for a couple of years and it's really helpful. I'm in the states and I know this is a UK forum so I'm using American measurements. A little background. Thirteen years ago my husband complained I was treating the bed like a trampoline. I was sleeping through all of it, except

are hot flushes associated with hypothyroidism?
I’m in the process of being investigated for hypothyroidism, after a couple of private blood tests, most recent showing TSH of 5.06 mIU/l, free T3 of 3.9 pmol/l, free T4 14.3 pmol/l, TPO Ab 41.7 kIU/l My GP has been very supportive and has me booked for these tests to be repeated on the NHS to confirm

Due to the joint inflammation in my feet and fingers, I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Arthritis, but there

Private Endo and T3
Hi all, I haven't posted in a few months as I've been waiting for a telephone appointment with a private endo. In the interim I've been taking my Levo only, alternating 125mcg and 112.5mcg and feeling OKish, but not brilliant, low energy etc.. Had total thyroidectomy 2 years ago. I had my private consultation

How Do Those on T3 or Combo Therapy Navigate TSH Obsessed Doctors
After my pitiful NHS results in December ( before starting self sourced T3) my GP increased my Levo to 200mcg a day. I haven't been taking that much, obviously as I'm taking 150mcg of Levo and 12.5mgs of T3. The GP I spoke to said retest February and unfortunately my surgery have been uncharacteristically

Reference ranges
A quick question while you're having your cornflakes ( or fasting for a blood test 😊) if anyone knows the answer: Every day there are posts from people whose TFTs are within the reference range for the lab. And every day there are comments along the lines of 'your TSH / T3 / T4 should be higher [u]

answers please swollen breasts
hi. I have struggled with regular period and had abit of Gynae difficulty, this year my periods have become more regular only a day or two out. Because of this though I have to allow a few days for periods to come so never know EXACTLY WHEN. My last period was only 2 days which is very unusual for me
