How do you guys manage a flare up?
Has been in remission for the last 6 months - on
baricitinib
, chloroquine and methotrexate but I’m starting a flare now. My question is - how do other people manage a flare? Do you wait for it to get bad, hoping it will settle- if next appointment is months away?

Baricitinib - 3 weeks in
When I started
baricitinib
, I had some idea that i would be back to normal in a week or two - cooking, gardening, walking around the village doing errands. . . After 6 months of pain and fatigue with Simponi which was not working, I put a lot of hope in this new medication.

Has anyone with RA used Blessed CBD Medical cannabis
My rheumy advised the Shingrix dead vaccine because I am waiting to take the new JAK inhibitor tablets
Baricitinib
in 3 weeks time and they could cause shingles.

Receiving baricitinib in 2 days
I received a phone call today to tell me that I will have my
baricitinib
delivered on Thursday. I am eager to get started on it. I have high hopes that it will be better for me than the Simponi has been for the past 6 months.

Baricitinib and shingles
Hello all. I'm set to start Baricitnib next week and read that one of the side effects is shingles. As a result, I'm considering paying out of pocket for a non-live vaccine. I'm just wondering which other UK posters have done so? And if you did receive the non-live shingles vaccine, how did you go about

Goodbye Simponi, going to try baricitinib
I will be trying
baricitinib
. I am told that the dose in Canada is 2 mg. I am good with that because I did try Xeljanz, another JAK inhibitor, last year for 3 months, but had to stop due to side effects. My hopes are up. I hope it works out.

I was previously on Benepali which was a miracle for about 13 months but then stopped working and due to the pandemic I was tried on
baricitinib
but that didn’t seem to work either, though I only tried it for about 16 weeks.

Is baricitinib fast acting?
I started
baricitinib
4mg daily one week ago. All the visible swelling in my hands has gone and I can make fist for the first time in 2 years. Does it work that quickly? Could this finally be the right med for me? I had anaphylaxis with anti-TNFs and Rituximab only helped my feet.

Baricitinib and Covid19
I'm puzzled by the fact that
Baricitinib
is being used as part of a treatment for covid19 but we are told not to take it if we have an infection. Just wondered what anyone else though.

Olumiant and broken blood vessels in the eye
I wonder if anyone on Olumiant (
baricitinib
) experiences an increased incidence of broken blood vessels inside the eyes. I definitely do.

What to Know About Getting the Second COVID-19 Vaccine Dose If You’re Immunocompromised or Have an Autoimmune Condition
The American College of Rheumatology recently recommended that some patients can stop taking methotrexate and JAK inhibitors [such as tofacitinib (Xeljanz),
baricitinib
(Olumiant), and upadacitinib (Rinvoq)] for one week after each vaccine dose.

ACR: Vaccinate patients with musculoskeletal, inflammatory, autoimmune disease for COVID-19
For example, the ACR recommends modifying certain treatments such as methotrexate, janus kinase inhibitors — such as
baricitinib
(Olumiant, Eli Lilly & Co.), tofacitinib (Xeljanz, Pfizer) and upadacitinib (Rinvoq, AbbVie) — and some biologics — abatacept (Orencia, Bristol Myers Squibb) and rituximab

Just had my appointment with my nurse ( rang a day early) to update on how things are going with
Baricitinib
. Told her brilliant apart from my right ankle. Today the swelling has started along side the heavy tight painful feeling.
