Drinking Post Afib Ablation Surgery
So I had Catheter Ablation procedure about a month back and wanted some opinions are drinking alcohol post surgery. I had a few drinks twice since surgery and didn't feel any irregular Afib feelings the next morning which is when I would usually get them. My procedure was a success and don't want to

ABLATION: Costs and Paths to having Ablation carried out. NHS or PRIVATE.
My Cardiologist has suggested that I could choose to have Ablations carried out. Not sure who he intends should do this. He is good at fitting Stents, Angiagrams & Angiaplasti. But he is not an EP and I would want to be sure that the person doing the Ablation is proficiscent and well practiced. I appreciate

Questions about my mother's AF
This is a long post - but I’m keen to hear any opinions. My mother is 89 and was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation about a year and a half ago. She already had a pacemaker, which had been fitted over 10 years ago for sinoatrial disease. At the time of her AF diagnosis she was put on 5mg Apixiban per

Av node ablation
The pacemaker didnt make any difference on its own so went for the
av
node
ablation
which I had a week ago exactly. Whilst I was in hospital, just overnight I felt ok as I was first few days at home, but as I wasnt really given much advice apart from take it slowly, rest etc that was it.

Successful Ablation and given the all clear !
Hi just and update on my 11 year old Daughter who was diagnosed with AVRNT 3 years ago. She went in for her cardiac ablation in December on her 11 Birthday and I'm happy to say since that she's off all medication and has not had 1 single issue since :-) We've been given the all clear at her follow up

Catheter ablation without being put to sleep?
Hi all, recently was going to have a catheter ablation, however doc said afterwards that they couldn't induce tachycardia when I was under general anaesthesia and so couldn't carry procedure out. So now I have to have it without general anaesthesia at a later date. My question to anyone who has had without

3.5 weeks after catheter ablation...
Pain in my chest and shortness of breath have come back after about a week of no symptoms. I thought I was home free as the symptoms for the first 10 days were pretty uncomfortable, although I was working everyday. Anyone with experience similar? Any pain remedies for the chest pain? Much appreciated

My AF journey takes a turn for the worse! 2
I suspect the
AV
node
ablation
is still on the cards although (I have already signed my consent for this) I hope it may not be necessary.

Low pressure after cardiac ablation
I had cardiac ablation two weeks ago for Afib. Four days ago, I started having very low blood pressure—72/54, or lower. Has anyone else experienced this?

Surgery or meds for atrial fibrillation?
The following article has been sent to me (the title as above) which I thought I would share as it is a quandary for some of us. It was written by Dr Michael Roizen M.D., and Dr Mehmet Oz, M.D. (both of the Wellness Institute at Cleveland Clinic) in answer to the following question posed to them: Q
