Question for anyone who has had Open heart surgery
A month ago I had OHS and went straight into Afib. I have had a pacemaker inserted 2 years ago. I had a cardioversion yesterday and I feel like I’ve gone back to week one with the pain on my right boob. I want to know from anyone who’s had this surgery if their breasts were soooo sore. I do have

Hi guys, I'm now at week 11 after double heart bypass surgery. Surgery went well, but very bad wound infection and had to be rehospitalized. After all the infection hoo ha, I'm doing well and generally feeling good. My chest area currently feels really tight, and whilst it doesn't hurt to breathe in

IVIG after heart surgery and stopping IBRUTIMIB
12 months ago I was on an Ibrutinib clinical trial for my CLL. Ibrutinib worked great for me for years. I found out I needed a triple bypass due to 95% LAD artery blockage. Not good! A stent wasn’t an option in my case due to necessity for blood thinners. Can’t do blood thinners, aspirin and Irbutinib

Error with meds
Hi. I forgot to take my meds yesterday morning. Didn't realise until I felt strange and was about to take my evening meds at 10.30pm. So I took morning meds. I now need to take meds again in order to bring back to morning dose over two days. I am fine taking flecainide and blood thinner since I take

Dry Eye Syndrome
Quick question. I was at opthalmology today re another matter and whilst there he diagnosed Dry Eye Syndrome. He said it was most likely another autoimmune condition I had. He said it would be a lifelong condition with drops a cream for my eyes. Has anyone else with alopecia been diagnosed with this.

Daily use of metoprolol?
Hello, Recently diagnosed with afib, cardiologist prescribed blood thinner and metoprolol 50mg daily. Now, my BP is 120/80 , my resting heart rate is 55, and the frequency of my afib is every 8 to 10 days, I know this is a question for my cardiologist but I would like to know from the experience of

Persistent afib
I thought I was okay now I'm in persistent afib ( since September 2022) but looking at the posts from yesterday's health unlocked (estesbubba post) people are saying it's not good to be in persistent afib as it causes the heart to work harder and then become enlarged and that can lead to heart failure

Palpitations at night
I had a third ablation nearly three weeks ago and am in sinus rhythm, but I'm having trouble sleeping because of an uncomfortable thumping heart when I go to bed, that keeps me awake for a while, though it's OK in the mornings. After the ablation my consultant told me to halve my Bisoprolol dose,

My dad died, now I'm back to square one
My dad died a week ago from a heart attack. Since then I became very anxious, afraid to go to the toilet at night, afraid me too will suffer a heart attack. I know my physical symptoms are due to anxiety, but my anxiety makes me doubt this. My husband and I are going overseas in March and leaving our

Q10 Supplement
My chiropractor suggested I might benefit from taking a supplement called Q10 gold. The research I did was quite interesting done by Pharma Nord, seems their studies with people with heart problems eg heart failure also CABG mortality rate reduced considerably, also enhanced energy levels etc. My Chiropractor

Heart valve checks…!
Good morning. I had my aortic heart valve replaced over 8 years ago. It’s only just been brought to my attention that I should have yearly check ups. Out of the blue I developed AF with a resting heart rate of 170. I underwent a cardioversion which was successful. Only now I’m being told a yearly check
