Hi. I forgot to take my meds yesterday morning. Didn't realise until I felt strange and was about to take my evening meds at 10.30pm. So I took morning meds. I now need to take meds again in order to bring back to morning dose over two days.
I am fine taking flecainide and blood thinner since I take this 12 hourly anyway. I know additional steroids also won't hurt me. But what do I do with bisoprolol? I take 7.5mgs usually in the morning.
Yesterday I took missed dose 12 hours late! If I take them now it will mean I will have taken 15mgs in 24 hours. I believe recommended maximum dose in 24 hours is 10mgs. Any ideas of what I should do. Phones not working at GP surgery, arrythmia nurse at hospital doesn't work on Thurdays! (I SHALL HAVE TO REMEMBER NOT TO FORGET MY TABLETS AGAIN ESPECIALLY ON A WEDNESDAY!)

Couldn't ignore it since after 12 hours had all the signs of going into Afib episode. Hence why I took meds 12 hours late to avoid A&E visit. Just need to get meds back to morning safely.
I take bisoprolol as needed, and it's known to be a very safe drug that allows quite a variance in dosage (1.25mg - 15mg); also, it reaches a steady state in the bloodstream that lasts around (in me) for a good time, so, I am thinking you could take half a dose, then the full dose as usual the next day?
You could ask your pharmacist/chemist as they should be able to help you. I agree that it probably is best to wait until your next scheduled dose or just take half a dose until next scheduled dose.
I only take 5mls a day but could only tolerate it by taking half the amount in the morning and another half dose at bedtime .This is just to say that I suppose it would not really make big difference as the med stays in the body for a long time
I should have answered this sooner! But I see that other people have. Every week or so, I miss taking the Bisoprolol, or take it late, but that hasn´t caused me any problems so far. I do make sure that I have taken the Flecainide and the Candesartan as soon as I get up.
