Trimbow eligibility??

I was also going to ask to switch back from Atrovent to Spiriva a) for convenience and b) to reduce the environmental impact of the propellant in line with current recommendations. Sticking with pMDIs not dry powder due to better lung deposition.

What A Birthday I Had !

Paramedics gave me atrovent inhaler which eased the breathing but I refused to go to our local hospital because it is their consultant who asked me why I thought I had lung damage with bronch. Next day battled with my consultants's bronch nurse to have her told what was happening.

Help/advice for my 4yo please!!

She was on clenil and ventolin with montelukast, these haven’t been helping whereas they had before so our GP trialed which also hasn’t particularly helped.

The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂

For the past few years my regimen has been as follows: INHALERS Seretide 125/25 (could probably reduce to 50/25 to be honest, the long acting beta agonist has been the most useful bit of this) Atrovent inhaler TABLETS NACSYS 600 OTHER Hypertonic saline nasal spray Hypertonic saline nebuliser

Y'all did it again. Thank you!

So I was DX with chronic swimmers ear and told all I could do was treat with alcohol and vinegar. I read here about blocked Eustachian tubes and did some reading. So far I have been able to self treat with trying to pop my ears and swallowing. If I can not keep up I know the next step is to buy Otovent

autoimmune hearing problems

I’ve posted this on SRUK forum too. Sorry this goes on a bit. Along with my UCTD with systemic sclerosis gut problems I’ve developed, I’ve had hearing problems for years. I’ve never really thought it could be another autoimmune problem but recently I couldn’t hear my own voice. I wear hearing aids and

Will this go by August?

So it's been just over a month since I've had T caused by clarithromycin. Since I last posted I've seen a high street audiologist for a hearing test and to discuss the T. No hearing loss, which is good right? Hearing loss can make T caused by antibiotics permanent, I've read. The audiologist sent a

Covid supplementary treatment: Citirizine

I also used saline, salbutamol and Atrovent nebs, and my Airphysio to clear my lungs. A friend’s GP had recommended taking Citirizine, an anti-histamine so I agreed that with my own GP too. It seems that the body’s immune system over-reacts and that is what causes the exhaustion etc.

Nebuliser

Pulmonologist has taken me off revlar ellipta and incruse as he said it’s not getting into lungs and prescribed atrovent and pulmicort nebulisers. After 6 days I’m certainly no better and maybe worse. I’ve finished the antibiotics and weaning off prednisone.

Adrenaline during asthma attacks

I had an adrenaline injection and the rest nebulised (along with hydrocortisone, magnesium, atrovent nebs, and salbutamol nebs) yesterday evening during a bad attack (silent parts of my chest again etc.). Not staying in any longer than needed being discharged today. Just a bit frustrated.

The Atrovent inhaler (2 puffs) does not make any difference. Honey helped just a little. Any ideas how I stop the tickling sensations?

He suggested two puffs of my Atrovent inhaler 15 minutes before my two postural lung drainage sessions. I find that the inhaler traps mucus whereas without the inhaler I get a lot out. So I don't use the inhaler for my morning session, but I do for the evening session.

The consultant at the Royal Brompton said use the Atrovent inhaler twice, 15 minutes before the postural lung drainage, which I do. I stopped taking carbocisteine capsules as they might have been causing diarrhea, although it's difficult to know what triggers what with so many 'aids.'
