My flutter story ...
I just wanted to tell my story ... Sydney, Australia: Age 53, previous smoker, overweight and some hypertension. In mid-2019 I started to watch my diet and exercise vigorously, and lost a lot of weight (now 178cm, 90kg, BMI 28 so still a bit to go). May 2020: Felt a sudden strange buzzing in my chest

My Journey thru this problem
Hi, 3rd Cardioversion 4 weeks ago. This time it worked, however reduced 10 to 5 & then 2.5mg Bisoprolol... All the time feeling ghastly. Zero mg & feeling great. A week later back in AFib. Back to 5mg & rhythm returned to normal, but the 5mg causing me to feel ghastly again. Really lucky as I’ve been

I’m 28. Normal BMI. Had one bout of afib that went to Normal Sinus Rhythm on its own. ECG at the Hospital caught it. I have slightly high BP. Echocardiogram was normal. That was in March. Now Fast forward the other week I was driving and I had drank a Medium coffee (my usual in the morning) My heart

Allergic to meds
I’ve had AF for 8 years. My meds have been Eliquis, aspirin, Amioderone and Nebivolol. 6 years on Amioderone and 6 months on Nebivolol. I recently became severely short of breath. This resulted in two visits to the hospital where on the first visit I was told (after all tests came back negative) that

Is an ECG reading QTc of 469ms prolonged or not??
Hi in 2006 I had an ECG done that I have recently found. It shows the QTc interval is 469ms but was reported as "normal". I was under the impression that anything above 440-460ms is prolonged or is it not that simple? Reason I ask is I am looking into making a claim that the ECG should have been interpreted

Anticoagulants described as blood thinners
I am not sure if it is just me being intolerant or if BobD has brainwashed me. Every time I hear the expression “blood thinners” on the television when someone describes anticoagulation I find myself shouting at an inanimate object I.E. the screen in the corner of the room. Last night whilst watching

Metoprolol stopped working / quad bypass surgery
I have been taking 50mg of Metoprolol since I had quad bypass 9 weeks ago. It has kept my blood pressure down into normal range but about a week ago I started getting slight pain in my arms, under my shoulder blades and shortness of breath when active and moving around. I also noticed that my blood

8 months on 2.5 Bisoprolol Fumarate & 2X5mg Apixaban. Had overcome most of the aches and pains but NOW THEY ARE BACK. Anyone have the same?
Hello Everyone. I have No energy, chest discomfort, poor sleep, concrete like legs, and sleepy during the day. This Covid situations doesn't help as it's hard to get to see the doctor or to get blood work done. The hospitals are very busy with patients sick with the virus so going there is a big risk

PAF to persistent
I have been in AF for 2.5 weeks now. Normally always reverted to sinus rhythm before 7 days. Any suggestions on what I could do to help convert back. Do you think it can still be possible that I revert? I’m on 1.25mg Bisoprolol and apixaban. My dosage of Bisoprolol had to be reduced almost 2 years ago

Ablation No.3
First post on here but would just like to hear any thoughts from fellow sufferers! Have had 2 ablations for AF-first one lasted 4 years-second one lasted 2 1/2 years until June 2019. Then suddenly developed very fast pulse rate ending up in A&E where they reduced it by administering 2.5 Bisoprolol.
