Dealing with an AFib episode without meds.
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFib by an Energency Dept Consultant who ordered certain tests to be done in the future and sent me home with Anticoagulants. I wasn’t given any advice on how to manage an AFib episode or a follow up consultation just a letter to say my test results were OK.A year later

Could Afib rhythm on Kardia be misinterpreted
At the end of April I received my 14 day Zio report that showed very frequent rhythms of supraventricular ectopies and no AFib. Most heart rates averaged below 100. A few weeks later I used my Kardia on 1 lead which showed sinus rhythm with supraventricular ectopy at 64 BPM. 1 minute later I used

Enemas for constipation
I am taking flecainide and bisoprolol for my afib. The medication is doing fine but I’ve got what I believe to be Pelvic Floor dysfunction. Basically one of my rectum muscles (at exit) is contracting when it should be relaxing. I’ve got biofeedback physio on Monday but wanted to know if anyone has experience

Advice please re steroid dose following fall, facial lacerations, broken nose etc…
Hi all, yesterday I stupidly trotted across a road, my leg gave way and I ended up sliding across on my face, hitting my cheek/nose on the kerb. Been to A&E, all sorted apart from sore shoulder which is a little better today. The pain feels very specific in that I feel it only in certain positions or

How is AF and Heart Failure linked?
Although the term heart failure can sound ‘scary’ it does not mean that your heart is about to stop working! Although heart failure can be a serious condition, it only means your heart is not working as efficiently as it should be and that it needs a little help to make it work better. For further

Nebivolol 2.5mg
I started Nebivolol for my AFIB about one month ago for my heart rate! I like the drug but seem to have a lot of gas on my stomach! Has anyone else had this problem?

Define 'well controlled'
When do you decide to have an invasive procedure done? It seems like there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to Afib. I was told if medication manages your symptoms then an ablation is not necessary. What if you hate the medications? Is there a definition of well controlled? 1 episode a week?

Predicting AF 30 mins before it happens

What is an ablasion procedure is it safe?
Diagnosed with AFIB, cardiologist has suggested for me to look into ablasion proceedure. Taking Eliquis but an expensive drug to be on. Research shows this proceedure with ablasion only 70% successful to put heart back in a normal rhythem? Has anyone had this proceedure done?

Depressing cardiology consultation
I am a 73 year old female and I have had AFib for 12 years. My problem is with rhythm, not rate. Just had a cardiology consult after going back into AFib after 18 months on Amiodarone, following my second cardioversion. Quite depressing really. Told to come off the Amiodarone, as it wasn't keeping

I'm interested in chatting with those who have had an orchiectomy, guess thats how you spell it. I'm tired of all the side affects of cancer drugs and all the problems they cause to my body so I'm concidering having an orchiectomy. Yes I know all about what happens when you get this but as far as I'm
