I have been diagnosed with AF and slowly getting my head around it all. I’m on blood thinner rivaoban and sotalol and rampril. I’ve just head a letter from cardiologist from our 3 monthly catch-up and noticed on diagnosis he has also put on preserved LV function, any of you lovely people know what that means please

LV= left ventricle function. Preserved = working. Ergo your heart is pumping fine.

Left Ventrical ...... when I first was diagnosed I did quite a lot of research into this condition because its handy to know causes/treatments etc., and it has helped me through these past 30 years so have a read and keep asking questions because it will help you cope with this worrying and annoying condition. Good luck x

It’s good news. The major concern with the heart is always with the downstairs two rooms, not the two in the flat upstairs. That can be in chaos, but so long as downstairs copes well (as yours in doing), you’ll survive to live another day! 😉
