Double Beats? Advice
I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF earlier this year and would welcome comments re. a new observation in my hand-held ECG outputs showing double beats occasionally. Note that it can take 3 months for a cardio chat so I thought getting input from this excellent forum would be a good first step. Background

Diuretics and BTK Inhibitors
Wondering if anyone is on diuretics/water pill such as lasix or aldactone, while taking ibrutinib/ BTK inhibitors. Wondering how this affects hydration. Confused if we drink lots of water to flush out bad cells, or to stay hydrated. If we want to stay hydrated, seems like it would be difficult while

Ablation of the nerve endings of the heart ,(ganglionated plexi)
Has anyone taken part in a research project or have any experience of standard catheter ablation for AF versus ablation of the nerve endings (ganglionated plexi)? Or have any thoughts about this? My 4th catheter ablation was last Friday so 6 days ago now at Hammersmith hospital. I took part in a blinded

High BP with cold sweats and headache
Had ablation year age. AF seems under control. Taking Multaq & Cardilol for BP. Have had for about 1 week bad headache with cold sweats. Usually lasts 30=45 minutes. When this happens BP is high 155/90. Called Cardiologist added Telmasarten to help lower BP. Has anyone experienced this?

New to AFib and having Anxiety and Depression
First I want to say, I have posted only one other time here....but this place has been great for reading others posts and responses! Also, I have always had issues with anxiety and depression, but not on any meds for it other than an Ativan every now and again. After finally being diagnosed with AFib

Heck getting older
Hi all. 9 am here in Deland FL where I'm at in the hospital. Drs came in awhile ago. All tests so far came back negative. That's good news. Saw the cardio Dr and we discussed the Eliquis and the side effect of angina. Yes it is a side effect. Doesn't want to switch me off Eliquis which I don't want to

Loss of sight after a stroke
My husband had a stroke after heart valve replacement surgery. He has lost his sight. No one can tell me what to expect next. Has anyone on here been in the same situation?

Gastrointestinal problems
Not sure this is a thyroid problem. But have had bad IBS and steatorrhoea. After being robbed off for two years a locum lady doctor was helpful and I had a stool test. After three weeks it is still not back and when I rang surgery they said sometimes it can take 6 weeks. Just wondering why it is taking

Has anyone experienced intermittent atrial tachycardia? Comes and goes every few minutes for the last six weeks.
I have a congenital heart defect which resulted in me needing five open heart surgeries in childhood. When I was 28 (in 2014) I had my first episode of sustained atrial flutter, which my EP believed was caused by scarring to the atrium following my surgeries. I've had four cardioversions and four ablations

Many thanks
Sincere thanks to all who answered my question about cardioversion it's helped a lot. As far as the side effects are concerned, I have to agree with what most of you have said about not putting up with them, however, getting something done about them is another matter. As far as the warfarin clinic at

A Cyroablation
I had my cyroablation on Aug 3, at Mayo Jacksonville. Was released that night but had to stay at the hotel on the campus. Dr took me off Cardizem 3 days prior. Told three months for scar tissue to firm and nerve endings to heal. Besides afib I had SVT , uncontrolled crazy heart rate. I have not

The residual BI shopping problem
So more 8 years into the BI world I have learnt to tolerate the worst of the bright lights, crowds, peculiarities of where different chains like to place certain items. I can cope with the lists and items I need or aren't on the list but just remembered I need. However, one thing still persists - the

6 weeks check up
Hi all, I received a letter from my EP for my 6 week check up post ablation (for AVNRT - successful fingers crossed!) and have to go to hospital for a Dobutamine Stress Echo (DSE) before meeting with him. Is it common? Have you had to do this? I am back exercising and feeling great so I don’t understand

Update re Flecanide X 3 times a day
Well I did call the hospital and spoke with the Arrhythmia nurse.....Who knew such a person existed? I found him very good and easy to talk with though a little confusing. He says that my EP never prescribes Flecanide X 3 times a day. It's not covered by the license he says. The other confusing thing
