A fib causing a weak sensation?

Can anyone relate to this ,, a couple of times now ive had an extremely painful sensation after eating or drinking. Like the pain you feel with trapped wind in the chest area, tbroat tightness, and an incapacitating weak sensation. A fib is confirmed on alive cor when i record this. Not acknowledged by my cardio yet, still awaiting my appt after 16months. I also have a presumed diagnosis of coronary artery spasm, and possible microvascular angina. Hard to deferentiate between these conditions,as in,is one triggering the other.

I can’t relate to that but my guess would be the coronary spasm, that sounds horrible. Does it happen every time or when you eat/drink more than certain amount or too quickly?

Hi and thankyou fpr replying. It doesent happen every time, its intermittent. Im aware there is a vagal nerve connection for an a fib trigger. Im just frustrated as im unsure as to whether a fib can cause pain, ,some people say it can, others ,it cant?

I resonate with your frustrations as I am managing 3 conditions & determine what causes which symptom is very difficult. Only tests will illuminate.

Sorry to hear your struggle. Yes tests will help, its just having access to them thats a problem. I fully appreciate the virus is setting us all back, but a year and a half, and still counting,is a long wait between cardio appts, especially with a high stroke risk condition like a fib. My cardio received evidence of my a fib over a year ago,and im still waiting for help with it.

It is very hard at the moment. I think the NHS is doing as much as it can but how long you wait depends upon a lot of factors, not least your Postcode. Not fair, not as it should be but it’s the way of it. Remind me where you live and which hospital appointment you are waiting on?

Yes, for me it’s like really really bad indigestion, with a constricted throat. Truly horrible feeling. I’m also , post two ablations for AF, diagnosed with micro angina. Strange condition!!

Thankyou for replying, its good to know if others identify with symptoms. Do you get the instant weak sensation too?

No, just very uncomfortable tight chest / gut. Feeling like a band round your throat
