Heck getting older

Hi all. 9 am here in Deland FL where I'm at in the hospital. Drs came in awhile ago. All tests so far came back negative. That's good news. Saw the cardio Dr and we discussed the Eliquis and the side effect of angina. Yes it is a side effect. Doesn't want to switch me off Eliquis which I don't want to cause I'm in the 1% who don't tolerate prescription drugs well . He wants to do cardiac catherization to make sure anything is there that didn't show up in the echo or other tests I've had. So I agreed. Scheduled for Wednesday. So I will stay since I'm off the Eliquis. And the nurse had just given me the Eliquis before the Dr came in. Wouldn't have taken it had I known about this test. Better to be here off it than home. I'm not having pain after taking the Eliquis yesterday and this morning so maybe it's not even anything to do with the heart. Find out more from the catherizatin. Of course I'm stressed and worry about the test. All the prayers are so appreciated from all those who have sent me posts. Hugs to all of you!!!

I think that is what we in UK call an angiogram. Had several myself and no problems. Quite fun watching the screens. Just be aware that when they put the contrast in it makes you feel as though you peed! You haven't.

I think they call it angiogram here to. Depends on what Dr you talk to. I just want to get through it fast. Be told everything is fine and go home. Knowing me I might wet myself😒😁 Thanks.

Hope all goes well, my husband (85 then) had one last year and was up and out and home by early afternoon - all clear.

It is a good thing to check and sounds like you are in the right place. Deep breaths and stay calm and think of good things like how amazing you will be when all of this is over.

Best wishes xx

Thank you so much CDreamer. Today is Tuesday so off the Eliquis and tomorrow is the day of the angiogram. Never been in the hospital for anything longer than a couple days. Not allowed to leave the floor so feel kind of like a prisoner but it's for safety. I get antsy. So I walk up and down the hall. Is nice to be waited on though.😊 Hospital staff are all very nice. Thanks again. Even your user name, CDreamer, is comforting. 😍
