NSAIDS and Afib.
After a concussion last January, I started taking Naproxen regularly. AND I started having break-thru Afib episodes. My docs KNEw I was taking this but said nothing. My cardiologist who knows I have Afib said nothing. So, I read about it and yep, people with Afib are cautioned NOT to take NSAIDS!!!

How effective is cardioversion for Persistent AFib?
Thank you to all those who have recently posted replies to my recent question ‘Has anyone had problems with Flecainide not working?’. Your answers have clarified the some of the options to discuss with my cardiologist, hopefully in a couple of days. I propose to gradually stop taking Flecainide but

Four months after the ablation, arrhythmias began occurring again which were diagnosed as
atrial
flutter
and PACs. I therefore started Varapamil again, to which Flecainide was added when symptoms increased in frequency and duration.

Experiences with Metoprolol
I was dx with Parosyximal Afib in 2019 and, after the customary course of starting with a beta blocker - Metoprolol, which didn't work - and then adding flecainide which did help but not prevent breakthrough episodes, had an ablation on March 16 of 2022. After the ablation, I weaned off of the metoprolol

High-Dose Vitamin B1 / Thiamine and Fat Soluble Benfotiamine Form
I am reposting a reply to the Vitamin B1 thread as I noticed a search on HealthUnlocked for Benfotiamine doesn't list the thread for Vitamin B1 and the information I posted doesn't fit in one reply. I'm not giving medical advice but I know a lot of people here are open to trying things and watch if

Why the rush to have an ablation?
In my twelve years living with Afib, every Cardiologist I have seen ( including an EP I saw, for a second opinion ) have told me, that Ablation should only be a last resort. My first Cardiologist in Florida, going so far as to say " do you really want them to burn holes in your heart?" So I am curious

Apple Watch
Curious to hear from anyone using an Apple Watch ECG app to monitor afib. On mine I can get a reading saying afib and then immediately measure again and get sinus. I recently started taking Dofetilide, so maybe the medication is helping to resolve afib episodes. Any thoughts on how accurate Apple Watch
