It will be super helpful if you test out the Clinical Trial Navigator on ChatGPT Please search for trials that interest you, and let me know how useful the results were. You'll need the $20/month version of ChatGPT to use this.

Try the Clinical Trial Navigator on ChatGPT
I wouldn't trust it. Caution is advised when an artificial intelligence answers questions. Chatbots such as ChatGPT and Bard sometimes falsify facts and invent sources. Developers want to use new strategies to teach generative AI to "lie" less. But at present it might for example mix results from different trials and mislead the reader.
Why don’t you try it before you judge it? It’s not going to mix up trials or invent trials…. This is a GPT
Also you are wrong to say it might mix up results from trials as this has nothing to do with reporting results
Hi Darryl,How robust is it?
So if you ask it for some scenario with resulting information, if you question its response with things like 'are you sure that's correct', is it definitive in its answer?
Thanks
Please try it and see for yourself
Yeah, but a lot of people won't have the chatgtp plus accounts that cost $20 a month, or do they? You're asking people to sign up for something to test it out and it might not be what they want.
Is there a temp trial access account people can use? You might get a better response in that case.
Thanks for your reply and suggestion. As I said in previous posts, this is just for people who already have the $20 per month account. As I've said for several months, Cancer Copilot is available for free on the Malecare website.
Do people have the $20 account? Indeed, many from our community have subscribed to the $20 per month account, but we recognize that not everyone can afford that and that there are a few who simply don't want to pay for it. This is why Malecare subsidizes the free version of Cancer Copilot
How do we access Cancer Copilot?
Hi Darryl,
I decided to give Clinical Trial Navigator from malecare.org and here is a quick summary:
It won't browse specific clinical trials in real-time or access detailed, up-to-date information on individual clinical trials. But it can guide you on how to search for clinical trials that might be relevant to your case.
For example..."CDK12 mutations may delineate an immunoresponsive subgroup of prostate cancer, trials testing the effectiveness of checkpoint inhibitors could be of interest."
"For more detailed information, including specific trial names, locations, and contact details, it's recommended to visit clinical trial databases such as ClinicalTrials.gov and EU Clinical Trials Register. You can search for trials using specific keywords related to your cancer type and genetic profile, and filter results based on location, trial status, and other criteria."
Thanks I will fix that. FYI It is set up to scan clinical trials.gov with every inquiry
AI can be powerful and will be even more in future. But please allow me two remarks: 1. A trial should always be free. 2. Medical AI systems, as all other AIs, are not 100%, currently more in the area of 60-80%. So in the moment medical AI can only act as a kind of assistant to a doctor.
My personal experiences: very often, when asking a question I doubt the answer. I then re-phrase my question and the second answer starts with an excuse and sometimes a 180% degrees different diagnose or therapy proposal. That’s dangerous and has to be controlled.
regarding your first point: of course trials should be and are free to patients. Have you ever heard of a trial that charged patients to participate?
I’m surprised at the resistance here. This seems like a fairly uncontroversial use case for AI. I tried it and initial results seemed pretty good. It did recommend one trial that wasn’t actively recruiting however but in fairness it was the last result.
thanks for sharing and for trying this out
OK thanks
Once you get things going, please consider setting up some folks who would as a service operate the chatGpt as a service for others.
You could coordinate it, charge a modest fee, and split that fee 50/50 with the people doing the inquiries.
It would be win/win/win.
It might have some complications. I have already worked out solutions for them... but I can't seem to connect to you with private chat here?
In any event, doing this would take these forums to the next level.
interesting suggestion but we’re not going to charge people for use of our services
