Atrial flutter

I had pulmonary vein isolation and a right atrial flutter line by radio frequency/heat. Note that my doc says he does nearly all ablations now with an atrial flutter line—and that has improved his ablation success and longevity of his patients being afib free (85% after 3 years).

Tonight I feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts , a sad feeling. I had my cardioversion last week, it didn't work . I have heart failure, so they have put me on amiodarone then they will try another cardioversion in a few weeks . Separately I recieved a phone call today from the hospital

I've been diagnosed with Atrial flutter, it's there all the time now and heart scan shows damage to heart muscle . I'm waiting for cardioversion , then possible ablation if unsuccessful. My anxiety and depression is rapidly going crazy 😪

Atrial flutter is a relatively common heart rhythm disturbance encountered by doctors, although not as common as Atrial Fibrillation (AF). It can affect adults of any age but is more common in older patients and is also more common in men.

Has anyone been in SR after a conversion and NOT gone back into AF or Atrial Flutter following a few days of these hateful things? 🙏

On Page 1 of my most recent ECG Report, I see "Percentage of Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation: 70.39." But on Page 3 -- "Hourly Statistics Table of ECG Data" -- the numbers in the Ventricular and Atrial columns are very small.

Referred to an Electrophysiologist who found Atrial Flutter as well as Atrial Fibrillation. Atrial flutter ablation treatment undertaken on September 18th. Since then I have been in what I call "reasonable" sinus rhythm but with regular feelings of not being "right".

I have atrial flutter and a history of afib also. I have been seeing an EP doctor at MGH for years, but, of late, have not been happy with him. All of his answers are very non definitive as he seems to be more interested in CYA than concrete suggestions as to what would be best for me.

I was diagnosed with atrial flutter/afib almost two years ago. Currently, it's paroxysmal, mostly presenting as flutter episodes lasting about 30 minutes, occurring roughly three times a year. I understand atrial flutter/afib can sometimes progress to more frequent or longer episodes over time.

Diagnosed with atrial flutter three months after ablation for atrial fibrillation, now on waiting list for cardioversion. Finding that when catching up on news on mobile phone in bed first thing in the morning, I keep getting waves of light headedness.

I had a catheter ablation on 16th May first one and have now developed atrial flutter. Which I understand can be common. I have had 2 cardioversions in the last 10 days which both lasted 24 and 48 hours. I'm back in persistent atrial flutter again and just don't know where to put myself.

I recently got diagnosed with persistent AF along with an Atrial Flutter which has been going on around 8 weeks. It was picked up in during a Echo. The same Echo also picked up a mildly dilated left ventricle with an EF of 30%.

I’m closely following an Australian company Imracor who has done European tests on its new MRI guided Catheter ablation method and now a couple of months ago started at John Hopkins in the US… the ablations conducted initially are for Atrial Flutter.

Following return AF or was then determined as atrial flutter had another ablation 2022 which was succeful for 4 months then return to atrial flutter. 3rd ablation 4/3/24 successful 4 months now return to atrial flutter with high bpm155.

Hi, I had my atrial flutter ablation done last Wednesday. It was a great success. My resting heart rate was about 90 bpm after ablation. However, I realise that my resting heart rate increases. Today, I measure 115 bpm while I am sitting. I am so worried.

I was told it could be atrial flutter but subsequently the arrhythmia nurse said PAF. I now have a smartwatch which does ecgs and most of the time I'm in sinus, rbpm 60-80.

Was diagnosed with an atrial flutter, prescribed Bisoprolol and edoxoban. Went for an echocardiogram on 20th October and waiting to hear back. How long do they take please ? Still waiting to hear about the 24 hour ecg appointment.
