Off beta block and Flec prior to Ablation?
ablation this time for
atrial
flutter
. The EP asks me to stop taking Metoprolol (50mg 2x) and Flecainide (50mx 2x) four days prior. Additionally to stop amlodipine day of procedure. What are peoples’ experiences who have done this?

Raised heart rate on amiodorome
I had an ablation in January that left me with
atrial
flutter
. Now, a few weeks later, I am on Amiodorome - really strong - 600mh a day and my heart rate us still of over 90. Any experience like this?

Should I have an ablation?
Fortunately I’ve not had a repeat of the
atrial
flutter
. I’ve been told by the cardiac nurse that I’ve been referred for an ablation. I’m wondering if I need it? I’m in constant sinus rhythm now and the meds seem to be keeping the
atrial
flutter
at bay.

Magnesium supplements and atrial flutter.
Are magnesium supplements beneficial in controlling
atrial
flutter
? Is evidence from personal experience or clinical studies available?

Sotalol
My Cardiologist has recommended DC Cardioversion and Sotalol as I’m in
Atrial
Flutter
. I’m already taking Entresto Apixapian & Bisoprol ! Will Sotalol replace any of these or is it an additional tablet?

It has no problem identifying AF and occasionally picks up
atrial

, which shows as a "saw tooth" trace between pulses.

Atrial Flutter and Fibrillation
I was diagnosed with an
atrial
flutter
late last year and was prescribed bisoprolol which has increased up to 5mg a day. I’ve not been feeling well of late with bpm like a yo-yo. I’ve also had a severe chest infection/ fluid on lungs which hasn’t helped.

FR Ablation tomorrow!
have my rf ablation booked for tomorrow morning to try to fix
atrial
flutter
(AFL) after being on waiting list since December 2021. Apprehensive, to say the least, despite having watched numerous videos and researched thoroughly.

Fourth time a char?
No longer in Afib but in
atrial
flutter
. “Controlled” with metoprolol tartrate 50-75mg 2x/day plus flecainide 50mg2x/day … and, of course, rivaroxaban. That lasted 15 months and -wham- back into flutter. Good diet, good outdoor exercise, low stress, lots of yoga, no booze, no coffee, 68, etc.

Heart Failure Question
He has gone back to work today still in
atrial
flutter
, with a pacemaker and all these drugs because he is worried he will lose his job but he does 12 hour days. nobody has time to sit and talk to us so he is doing what he always does and ignoring it. I like to plan things though.
