Atrial flutter
Tonight I feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts , a sad feeling. I had my cardioversion last week, it didn't work . I have heart failure, so they have put me on amiodarone then they will try another cardioversion in a few weeks . Separately I recieved a phone call today from the hospital

atrial flutter
I've been diagnosed with
Atrial
flutter
, it's there all the time now and heart scan shows damage to heart muscle . I'm waiting for cardioversion , then possible ablation if unsuccessful. My anxiety and depression is rapidly going crazy 😪

Atrial flutter patient information
Atrial
flutter
is a relatively common heart rhythm disturbance encountered by doctors, although not as common as Atrial Fibrillation (AF). It can affect adults of any age but is more common in older patients and is also more common in men.

Follow-up?
I was diagnosed with
atrial
flutter
/afib almost two years ago. Currently, it's paroxysmal, mostly presenting as flutter episodes lasting about 30 minutes, occurring roughly three times a year. I understand
atrial
flutter
/afib can sometimes progress to more frequent or longer episodes over time.

Support please 🙏
I had a catheter ablation on 16th May first one and have now developed
atrial
flutter
. Which I understand can be common. I have had 2 cardioversions in the last 10 days which both lasted 24 and 48 hours. I'm back in persistent
atrial
flutter
again and just don't know where to put myself.

Light headedness
Diagnosed with
atrial
flutter
three months after ablation for
atrial
fibrillation, now on waiting list for cardioversion. Finding that when catching up on news on mobile phone in bed first thing in the morning, I keep getting waves of light headedness.

Golf after ablation
Hello all I am due to have my ablation for
atrial
flutter
/ left side
atrial
tachycardia in a couple of weeks. I am down to play 18 holes of golf on successive days 10 days after that; is this over-ambitious? Should I leave it longer and scratch from those events? Thanks

Does persistent/constant afib lower the heart ejection fraction?
Newbie question - it hadn’t even occurred to me but if one (aka my husband) has persistent/constant afib (and he has constant
atrial
flutter
also we think) will that most likely impact the heart ejection fraction?

Experience with amiodarone
I have had episodes of AF and more recently
atrial
flutter
. My arrhythmia nurse took me off flecainide because of the
atrial
flutter
and put on solatol which didn’t keep me in rhythm and Iam now in persistent AF and prescribed Amiodarone.

Treatment Options
Diagnosed with
Atrial
flutter
in January, 2023 . In December, 2023 went into Afib and had cardioversion which lasted until mid January, 2024. Went back into Afib Jan 15/24, tried Flecainide and 2nd cardioversion 2 days ago, which failed.

struggling with atrial flutter
just wondering if any of you have had problems controlling
atrial
flutter
(mine is atypical). Most posts I read are about
atrial
fibrillation. I had an incomplete and unsuccessful ablation in March, for typical flutter, but recently my symptoms are increasingly worse.

Thudding heart!
I have just been diagnosed with
Atrial
Flutter
with rapid ventricular response and given bisoprolol 2.5mg as well as blood thinners. So, now my heart rate and blood pressure are within normal parameters - but I have a very "thuddy" feeling heartbeat.

Post Atrial flutter
It wasn't the same as usual when he has had Arrythmia but for severe
atrial
flutter
and it was a rushed job in A & E where he was only partially sedated so he felt it. His heart rhythm/ speed is back to normal but he feels rubbish. Normally after the procedure he feels well again.

flutter not fibrillation
Hi all I have paid to see an EP (privately) today who has confirmed 100% I have
atrial
flutter
and no fibrillation? Anyone else just have flutter? He has recommended an ablation to sort it out and told me to stop taking Flecainide which makes me nervous.

Trimix and Eliquis
I've been using Eliquis, for
atrial
flutter
, with the trimix, for about 18 months, with no problems. My urologist refuses to renew the trimix because I'm on a blood thinner. Has anyone had this situation and was able to convince their urologist to renew the trimix?
