Atrial Flutter?

About four weeks after my RF ablation my heart rate jumped from a very steady 60 to a very steady 135. ( I have an I CD that maintains my heart rate at 60) my EP called, said I was in atrial flutter, and did a cardioversion the next day to shock me back into a normal rhythm.

had Flutter Cardioversion…stressing

Prior to CV apple watch said sinus when I was confirmed in Atrial Flutter at hospital prior to CV. My pulse is even feels normal just a bit quicker abt 85 could be the stress. How do I know if the Atrial Flutter is back. He took me off Flecainide but still on Metropolol and Apixiban.

SOME ADVICE FROM YOU NICE PEOPLE

I will go with his advice, but as I read in many post here, seems that the cardioversion will only last from weeks to months, I now know that this procedure will not cure my atrial flutter, so what is the point to do it anyway?.

I had an ablation 7 weeks ago for atrial flutter. Was taking digoxin and flecanide 50 for Ist month but because it made my pulse going too slow in sinus rhythm I stopped taking meds except dabigatran .

Flutter 7 Days after Typical Flutter Ablation

Wondering if anyone who has had a typical atrial flutter ablation has experienced flutter in the days/weeks following the ablation and how things eventually worked out? I had a right-side ablation for typical atrial flutter a week ago.

pvc burden increasing

I think I had a hit of atrial flutter two days ago and got concerned that Af was returning. Any advice/thoughts please. Could the scar tidy be causing the pvc’s if that is what they are?? Thanks all Rod

Atrial Flutter and AFib

Hello, Briefly I've had multiple Aortic/Mitral valve surgeries, with the second in 2013 I acquired Complete Heart Block, Permanent AF, Shunt, and my Pacemaker. I'm probably lucky that I've been reasonably stable over the years, other than every now and again having the PM settings altered. On Warfarin

post cardioversion

Fast forward to last week when I developed an atrial flutter. Had a cardioversion yesterday which was successful with one shock. But, I got no sleep last night due to chest pain, backache (intense), and am now very lightheaded and headachy. Have felt slightly nauseus too.

Never ending atrial flutter/afib

Hi sorry me again. My husband is back in afib/flutter and he is now being loaded with amiodarone for yet another cardioversion. He is permanently breathless and always exhausted. He will have the procedure again in January we hope, depending on the waiting list. In the past this drug has pretty much

Can you help with this Kardia ECG strip please? Kardia say it is sinus rhythm but I’m not so sure

I wonder if it is slow atrial flutter or heart block. I have had permanent atrial fibrillation for years after ultimately unsuccessful ablations.

Do you or a member of your family have or been diagnosed with AF?

Atrial Fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia, affecting many individuals around the world, if you would like to find out more about the latest developments in the management of AF and Atrial Flutter.

Back in hospital with fast atrial flutter.

I’m in my local hospital with atrial flutter (and some good old AF) at about 150 bpm (following a bypass about a week ago). This seems to switch on when I sit up in bed or get out of bed. Blood pressure is low at 94/59. It’s too dangerous to cardiovert at the moment.

Ablation to back wall of the heart

They also went ahead and ablated a common area for atrial flutter although that was not the problem. Has anyone had the back wall of the heart ablated ? What success for you? Did you have persistent afib? Thank you for any info.

kardia

Hi, I had atrial flutter treated successfully by ablation 2 years ago. I still take anti-coagulants and have been told that I could now stop these. I am worried about doing this, so my doctor is suggesting monitoring with a Kardia device for a few months and if all good, then stopping.
