Atrial Flutter.

An ecg on Wed showed atrial flutter and I'm very anxious about it . I have been prescribed Bisoprolol and my heart rate is now less than 50 . Before I was diagnosed my heart rate was normal then on a couple of occasions rose to 140 where it stayed.

Atrial flutter

My cardiologist thinks that I have atrial flutter and is concerned. I had an ablation july 2018 and 2 subsequent cardioversons, the 2nd in dev 2018. He now thinks my recovery was bad because of the flutter. I am now taking apixaban and unfortunately cannot do anything for 4 weeks.

Difference between Afib and atrial flutter

I’ve been told by my EP that I have shifted from Afib to atrial flutter. I have had a cryoballoon ablation, two radio-frequency ablations, two cardioversions. I’m on metoprolol Tartrate and flecainide. What precisely IS the difference between Afib and flutter? Will a fourth ablation help?

AF and Atrial Flutter

The GP said this *could* be atrial flutter. I know roughly what atrial flutter is, but I don’t know what the implications of having PAF and (nightly) atrial flutter are. I’m guessing they are not good.

Need to know which Atrial Fibrillation or Atrial Flutter before scheduled Ablation Procedure?

Atrial Flutter or Atrial Fibrillation ? Difficult to determine which it is when heart is racing 140s 180’s 200 . Will an EP study determine which it is? From my understanding, the EP study can manipulate different arrhythmias , therefore not a diagnostic procedure?

Funky day,

Just had atrial flutter I think but I kicked off my anxiety, sucks. Anyone ever had that feeling of the heart being like squeezed slightly or like it's preparing to go into an arrythmia, then when it happens it releases? I feel that slight squeezing. Bracing myself for it.

Treatment for Atrial Flutter

Has anyone been treated successfully for atrial flutter? I awoke yesterday morning with a pulse of 90 (my heart rate is typically 60s-70s). I've gotten used to the occasional episodes of afib and atypical flutter which usually resolve in a couple of days. But this was different.

Has anyone experienced intermittent atrial tachycardia? Comes and goes every few minutes for the last six weeks.

When I was 28 (in 2014) I had my first episode of sustained atrial flutter, which my EP believed was caused by scarring to the atrium following my surgeries. I've had four cardioversions and four ablations since 2014 as I've gone back into atrial flutter several times since.

Post ablation arrythmias

Since the ablation I now have had atrial flutter episodes 5 times in 7 days, which last up to few minutes each. Also lots of strong ectopics when lying down and trying to sleep that keep me up at nights.

Stent Fitted LAD Blocked + Atrial Flutter Diagnosed

The emphasis so far is very much about the HA/Stent recovery and not much about the Atrial Flutter side of things although some of the meds I am taking particularly Bisoprolol/Apixaban are for Flutter I understand.

Atrial Flutter and Blood Thinners

A letter off my Cardiologist says I have a persistent Atrial flutter and my GP would like to start me on Apixaban to combat the risk of stroke . I have been sent a booklet on this medication but it only seems to refer to atrial fibrillation not flutter, so a bit confused.
