Atrial flutter

Hi everyone I developed atrial flutter in December 2024, now taking Diltiazem 120mg x 2 and Apixaban 5mg x2. Had a cardiovestion but only last for 36 hours. After 5weeks wait I managed to see the GP, discussed with him my situation and long term treatments.

initially diagnosed with atrial flutter but after 2yr changed to Atrial Fibrillation. The nocturnal waking at 3.15 am has been happening for over 10yr and a smart watch picked up irregular heart beat 4 yr ago when diagnosed. Is this nocturnal waking normal

Here are results: IRHYTHM FINDINGS: Atrial Flutter occurred continuously (100% burden), ranging from 62-161 bpm (avg of 100 bpm). Atrial Flutter may be possible Atrial Tachycardia with variable block.

I had pulmonary vein isolation and a right atrial flutter line by radio frequency/heat. Note that my doc says he does nearly all ablations now with an atrial flutter line—and that has improved his ablation success and longevity of his patients being afib free (85% after 3 years).

My doctor has recommended a leadless pacemaker after an ablation, 4 cardioversion and meds, the last being Amiodarone, to control my persistent AFib and atrial flutter have been unsuccessful. Has anyone had experience with a leadless pacemaker?

Since having my 4 procedures just over 3 weeks ago, I still have visual disturbances (even typing this is very difficult as everything looks glary) and dizziness. I was in the cath lab over 6 hours as apparently it was very complex. I'm now in sinus rhythm most of the time with the odd blip a few times

In 3 years, I've had several short episodes of afib, but atrial flutter is a bigger problem for me, but even its episodes were short. However, about 20 days ago I tried to cut a dose of flecanide, to take 100 mg per day.

On Page 1 of my most recent ECG Report, I see "Percentage of Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation: 70.39." But on Page 3 -- "Hourly Statistics Table of ECG Data" -- the numbers in the Ventricular and Atrial columns are very small.

Tonight I feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts , a sad feeling. I had my cardioversion last week, it didn't work . I have heart failure, so they have put me on amiodarone then they will try another cardioversion in a few weeks . Separately I recieved a phone call today from the hospital

An ablation is a long term, effective procedure with a high success rate for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It is completely natural to feel anxious about a procedure, so preparation is key.

I’m considering getting a personal ECG device, but I primarily experience atrial flutter rather than atrial fibrillation. Since I’m on diltiazem (for rate control), my flutter often conducts at 4:1 (75 bpm).

Has anyone been in SR after a conversion and NOT gone back into AF or Atrial Flutter following a few days of these hateful things? 🙏
