it’s been a long while for me since posting. I had such great support in this forum for so long however, and still appreciate all the kind encouragement I received during my afib journey. I’m 3.5 years post ablation and (knock wood) still afib free. I had pulmonary vein isolation and a right atrial flutter line by radio frequency/heat. Note that my doc says he does nearly all ablations now with an atrial flutter line—and that has improved his ablation success and longevity of his patients being afib free (85% after 3 years). He does the atrial flutter line because he said a significant number of patients need that “touch up” post PVI anyway. So, for those considering an ablation, take it from a grateful Forum vet, ask your doc about the flutter line. All the best to all on the “journey”.
