I am a 77 year old male. I had a new heart valve fitted on 23Oct 24 (aorta). at Derriford hospital Plymouth
Since when i have been progressing very well , walking and exercising gently! At my first cardiac rehab course the nurse noticed i had an uneven heart beat and suggested i go to my GP.
i was given and ECG which has detected an atrial flutter.
I have no symptons.
I have been prescribed Apixaban
Should i be careful about having a glass of wine on Christmas Day?
