Odd question on pneumonia recovery
So, funny one this in a way. I'm 5 months into recovering from covid pneumonia. I was told at the time I have some lung scarring too. I'm more mobile and can even manage short bursts of jogging now and again. but still get very tired. My lungs feel tired too, but after I eat can feel tight. I can breath

AFib, Post Ablation, & Sex
I haven't seen this topic here and I don't know if it's within the guidelines but here goes: What relationship have folks here experienced between sex, Afib, and the post-Ablation period? When my Afib started, there was some correlation between having episodes after having had sex. Apparently, sexual

Questioning everything
This is mostly a venting so I apologize, I just need to get some things out of my head. I have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. I've definitively and repeatedly connected it to my digestive system. In my most recent encounter with a doctor directly after I had been taken via ambulance to

Missed period.. is this normal?
Since having my daughter my periods have returned fine and are very regular, to the day. However this month it just hasn’t come at all! I’m currently about 4/5 days late. I’m not on any contraception and we did make a HUGE error of having unprotected sex on the 7th November, the morning after pill was

apple watch 7
I just bought an Apple watch 7. The ECG shows that I am in sinus rhythm and sometimes AFIB. Majority is in Sinus rhythm. I do have afib and a stroke last December. I have changed my lifestyle and diet and lost so far 25lbs and got another 18 to go to my ideal BMI. Does the fact that the Apple watch

Atrial Flutter corrected in time to prevent more serious heart problems

Amiodarone after ablation
I am four week post ablation. A week afterward, I had an afib episode that had to be treated with cardioversion even though I was taking 120 mg of TR diltiazem. A second episode began a week later and they told me to start 200 mg of amiodarone, which has big side effects on many and takes six months

10 days afib now finished HR too low?
After 10 days of seeing heart rate mainly over 100 but zooming up and down, it is now on the 50s and little energy to move. Presumable the Bisoprolol working too well. Is this normal? I am not faint or dizzy

Amiodarone as pill in pocket
I take Flecainide 150mg, Bisoprolol 1.25 and Xarelto 20mg every morning and this regime usually keeps me free from Afib episodes and able to lead an active life. However, about once a month my heartbeat becomes irregular and is often over 100, at these times my BP plummets My Cardiologist says when

Second Day Out From Cryoablation with Migraines and Afib Episodes
Had my first cryoablation the day before yesterday and on my second day at home. As others have shared here, I've had migraine with aura every day since the procedure and two today. I hear that these can continue for a couple of weeks or so. Also, a bit discouraging to see my Kardia detect Afib this

For those with secondary APS
A new study on DOACs for thrombotic APS non triple positive patients with Venous
thrombosis
vs
arterial
thrombosis
shows that DOACs may be appropriate over warfarin. This does not apply to arterial non triple positive patients nor any triple positive peeps. More studies will be needed to confirm.

Berberine - One way to increase Akkermansia in your gut. Curcumin helps the gut microbiome as well.

Time change
Does anyone else suffer from the time change here in the USA? I don't think that exists in the UK or other countries? For me, when the clocks are set ahead an hour in the spring (just this last Saturday night) or back in the fall, I'm a mess for about two weeks. It throws off my circadian rhythm. We

Melatonin and night time Afib. An observation
I have been taking 5mg of Melatonin on and off through the years to manage bouts of insomnia. Recently I have noticed that without taking Melatonin I am waking up with Afib through the night but if I take it before bed I'm sleeping through and not either not noticing the Afib, or not actually getting
