Erythromelalgia?
I was diagnosed with cellulitis 5 or 6 weeks ago, I’ve had 2 lots of antibiotics, 2 scans to make sure no blood clots, this redness has spread around my leg and is now starting in the other one. My left leg and foot are quite swollen. I’ve seen various nurses and GP’s - never the same one twice - the

Pneumonia in CBD
Hi I’ve just found out my mum is in hospital with pneumonia and I’m on holiday in Australia - I’m looking for flights and trying to get home asap. Has anyone had experience of getting this when you already have CBD or has anyone had a loved one who has had pneumonia before? I know it’s not a great thing

ICU cognitive damage permanent?
HiIn August 2021 I suddenly developed septic shock. I was rushed straight to ICU. The next day I was heavily sedated and put on a ventilator. I was in my coma for 3 weeks. In that time my family were called in twice as the doctor didn't expect me to make it. I suffered a type 2 heart attack (an MI

An Update to Tokyo Update
It's 5 months today since my mini-maze with Dr Ohtsuka in Tokyo. Yippee !!! 🎂 I will save the song and dance for the 6 month milestone, save to say that I am in NSR each and every day for the whole day. I take zero medications and do not require an anti-coagulant as my left atrial appendage was removed

Bisoprolol
I was diagnosed with afib December last year and prescribed bisoprolol 2.5 mg.I am waiting to see cardiologist ,but my pulse rate is irregular when resting. My afib I think is persistent, does anyone know if I need to up doseage of this med,as I feel a bit rubbish of late.

Variations in persistent Afib
My resting heartbeat has remained fairly constant (85 - 90) since I went into persistent Afib around 6 months ago. My symptoms, however, are very variable. I get the chest full of frogs sensation from time to time, just like those with PAfib. And some days I have good energy at least half the day without

when a tablet is not THE tablet
Before I tell My story I just want to make the point that I am sensitive to all Meds. I was diagnosed with Perm. Afib 5 years ago and tried on several Anticoags. before settling with Eliquis (apixaban) as the one I could tolerate. I have taken Eliquis for the last 5 years without any issues. In January

YIKES-no Flecainide for 5 days
My ablation is in 3 days and my EP had me stop taking Flecainide 5 days prior (but I'm to remain on Eliquis until day of procedure.) I must admit I've been nervous stopping the drug. I'm moving slower, doing deep breathing throughout the day, removing any stress. I have had 3 episodes of Afib since
