Do you mean bisoprolol?

My breathing has been horrible since I started on metoprolol (I also put back on all the weight I'd managed to lose over the previous five years). I'm hoping to get off of it when I see my EP next week. One of my friends has the same doctor for her afib and he replaced her metoprolol with something else - it could be bystolic. She didn't have any breathing problems so I don't know if the medication change helped with her breathing.

My EP said aggravation of asthma is a rare side effect of metoprolol and wasn't overly worried about it. I'd just like to be able to breathe again. My breathing has become more troublesome than my heart. I'd be interested to hear if your medication change helps your breathing.
