AFIB - My biggest concern

Pain and discomfort in the heart area while AFIB episodes started.

And I still have this pain for a while even after I am taking the Bisoprolol and/or Fleciadine

Wander, how those AFIB influence on my heart function or destroy my heart muscles ?

Needs to relax , stop doing anything before pain feeling going away

Hi Alemo,Until I got my AF under control I found the sequence of events was that if I had eaten some foods this would start up bloating. The bloating would be in the gut area however the impact of it would transfer to around the heart accompanied by quite severe pain around the heart. There is a nerve in the body - the vagal nerve which can be troublesome and contribute to such problems.

John, Thank you for reply. But my condition isn’t relating to eating and bloating .I am very sensible and not big heavy eater. My AFIB could started anytime anywhere without any connection to food. Stress, sleeplessness, etc. ,

I am controlling it with med so far.

But pain and tiredness are bothering me, specially after taking Flecaidine ! Often, the Bisoprolol alone don’t help!

I probably didn't explain very well. For me the connection was food and vagal nerve. That link may NOT be the case for everyone. If you have a dysfunctional Vagal nerve it can show up in many ways. If you haven't already done so read up on it and Google Schematic diagram of Vagal nerve. It is an information superhighway between the brain and heart BUT it touches many other organs in the body. Research is improving year on year into this nerve. The feeling is that it is responsible for more health issues than we realise.John

Hello Alemo.

First of all please don't panic. John makes some very good points which may explain some of the chest pain you are experiencing.

However any chest pain is worthy of further investigation IMO. Personally I feel if you experience a pain in your chest (certainly when afib kicks in) you should seek medical advice there and then. I'm sure it will be ok but best verge on the side of caution.
