I have been told I have genes with the braf mutation. What implications, if any, does it have for thyroid cancer?

From what I understand the BRAF leads to uncontrolled cell growth. The link I'm sending is to a fairly old publication, but I think there are no newer findings that are markedly different. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/159...
