Non-diabetic stage 5CKD now glucose in urine?

It’s odd because it feels like it was right after the bad reaction I had from the Aranesp shot. Thanks!

There is fun to be had and there's always room for change

He must have discussed it with his colleagues because a couple of months later the whole unit had Aranesp in their machines. He was a brilliant brilliant man and a fine example to any budding doctor.

What side effects did you experience while on Epogen/procrit/Aranesp?

Hi all, I started the Aranesp finally which is injected every two weeks. The first dose a few weeks ago went ok. I had a headache for a day but that’s about it. I just had my second shot this past Thursday and got a migraine that woke me from my sleep within two days.

olaparin (Lynparza) and low HGB

The only two that I am aware of is reducing the olaparib dosage or using Aranesp (darbepoetin alfa). What approaches have you guys seen and results? Thanks Gary

Experience with Aranesp (darbepoetin alfa) to improve HGB count

When my HGB dipped below 10.0 (9.6) my dosage on Lynparza was reduced to 450mg/day My MO/Hematologist suggests that I consider Aranesp if my HGB count goes below 10 again. Any thoughts or experiences on the use of this drug and/or other strategies on improving HGB counts? Gary

Is Anyone using Reblozyl (luspatercept) for anemia due to MPN/ Hydroxyurea?

Hi everyone, I've been taking Aranesp injections for 2 years for severe anemia due to myelofibrosis/ET and also side effects of hydroxy. The Aranesp stopped working, and I've been taking luspatercept injections for the last 9 weeks.

Water retention

I have been on Ibrutinib for 4 months now and more recently (6weeks) on weekly injections of Aranesp because of low red blood count (78). I have also gained 10 pounds in a short period of time. Doctors have changed my diuretic, ruled out blood clots and ruled out heart-related problems.

Erythropoietin injections

His hgb is drifting down -his haematologist does not think it’s caused by the Ruxolitinib but due to disease progression ( white cells are drifting up and platelets drifting down) He gets very tired and sometimes a little breathless so he’s begun a four week course of Aranesp.

Myelofibrosis - changing dose of rux and epo helps the fatigue

dose of ruxoltinib ( Jakafi) back to 15 mg bd ( it had been increased to 20mg bd from the new year, and that increase made me gain another 5kg in weight ( gaind that Instarts on rux - most people do, I was told ) and made me even more tired.) and inceasing the frequency of the epo injections ( Aranesp

Aranesp

My oncologist gave me a shot of Aranesp during my last visit. My HGB had dropped to 8.6 and the RBC to 2.52. Has anyone else been given this medication? Like most drugs, there is a long list of side effect for Aranesp including heart issues.

Starting Aranesp

Yesterday my labs showed HCT at 28, so nephrologist wants to start Aranesp. I know that it will most likely give me more energy, but the black box warning is worrisome. Anyone had issues with blood clots from it?

Drop in haemoglobin

I take iron tablets and Aranesp injections to increase my Hb levels. I’m waiting for Addenbrookes to get back to me next week, but just wondered if this had happened to anyone else. Any comments and advice will be gratefully appreciated, Thanks Jill

Have any of you done the Aranesp Injections?

I have my first one tomorrow morning, just looking at what to expect. I had been sitting at 10.0 - 10.1 hgb and 30.4 ish hct for over a year - but today I was at 9.6hgb and 28.8 hct - so they sent my iron levels off, and if they come back good (which they should, I finished iron infusions not too long
