Acalabrutinib CBC problems

Been on Acalabrutinib for 3 months ,no leg pain or fatigue that I had with Ibrutinib . Initially had mouth sores and rashes and itching ... all gone or controlled ... However , now rbc , wbc,hgb and hematocrit all down... hgb is 9.7, down from 10.5 two weeks ago..had stool sample that was negative... would have bet the ranch that I was bleeding internally ( on plavix )... cannot walk 30 yards before having to rest ... ? M D Anderson gave me a shot of Aranesp yesterday but have not seen the OncolOgist your thoughts or experiences ?

My Dad was on it 2 years but found out it was only supposed to be used one year and not for long term.

Cardiologist said it's a temporary medication after surgery or heart attack. Why are you on it for so long?

After angioplasty failed in 1993 I had one of the original “non coated stents “ put in , am told that it will scar over and block up if I am not on a blood thinner...

Plavix is still only recommended for up to one year. I would suggest discussing with your cardiologist and oncologist. My Dad had CLL/stents and bypass surgery in the 90's and was taken off of Plavix by the Veterans Administration. They noticed he was still on it and should not have. It maybe causing your anemia. Of course there are exceptions but it is generally not a long term medication. My Dad continued with aspirin and lived to 94. Good to get second opinion. 💕
