mechanical vs tissue valve - experience in pregnancy?
I am 30yrs old, and have had
aortic
stenosis
since I was born. Recently the stenosis worsened to severe and I have been advised to have surgery. My difficulty is in deciding on which valve - mechanical or tissue to have.

I feel different post ablation
My a-fib was most likely caused by
aortic
stenosis
. I am health and reasonably fit. I went into afib a few weeks after my ablation and was on a combination of flecainide and beta blockers until July 2018. My dose of one or both of these was reduced every six months. I am only on a anti-coag now.

Seeing cardiologist....
I have biscupid valve..
aortic
stenosis
severe end of moderate. I had mri (aorta looks normal) stress echo...results say valve didn't get worse with exercise? And no evidence that any of heart muscle was short of blood supply on exercise. Said they will do echo Xmas.

Is atrial tachycardia just another name for a type of AF
Hi all I was diagnosed with severe
aortic
stenosis
just over a year ago. I then had an
aortic
valve replacement a couple of months later and due to my age it was decided to give me a mechanical valve replacement even though it will mean being on life long warfarin.

Tavi replacement aortic valve
I'm under Brompton hospital for severe
aortic
leak (regurgitation) and moderate
aortic
narrowing (
stenosis
). They have been looking after me since 1997. I also have AF and restrictive lung disease because of kyphoscoliosis, curvature of spine.

Tissue vs mechanical valves? Help!
I'm 50, severe
aortic
stenosis
and seeing the surgeon in a fortnight to discuss AVH. So tissue or mechanical? Drug free for 10-15 years but then accept need for another op or no need for 2nd op but Warfarin, clinics, worrying about bleeding and/or strokes?
