Tired.....

Hi again.... have aortic stenosis ( severe end of moderate?) And as days going by feeling so tired...well phased really such a weird feeling. Also right ankle starting to swell only slightly but feels "tight " all day. Few palpations as day goes on.

Cardiologist having meeting with surgeons apparently today to decide whether to operate sooner rather than later or just monitor detoriation of valve. The waiting is awful.

Anyone else waiting decision and feeling tired and phased?

Hi, I'm in the same position as you and feeling very scared and vulnerable. I am on the surgical list though but I'm finding the waiting awful. Some days I feel more positive than others with a what will be will be attitude. But others I feel tired and weepy. The consultant did up the bisoprolol to help with scary palpations and it did help.

Hi fudge, I was told by my consultant almost 3 years ago that my aorta valve would need replacing within 6 months!!. The decision was then taken to monitor me every 6 months. For almost 3 years I have had this on my mind and I have now been referred to a surgeon at Glenfield Hospital. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. Hope everything goes ok for you my friend 💙

Hi again fudge, sorry about the delay in replying but I've been playing walking football, despite my heart valve problem I still play 3 times a week. I haven't a date for an operation yet, I will know more when I see him on the 25th. Despite this hanging over me for 3 years I have still managed to live a normal life. It hasn't been easy especially dealing with it mentally but I'll take each step as it comes and hopefully deal with it. I'll let you know how I get on. Take care 💙

I'm struggling dealing with it mentally but hopefully once I know exactly the outcome of the meeting the surgeon s have had this week and whether they operate sooner rather than later or just monitor detoriation of valve I can focus...
