After many test I have now been diagnosed with Micro vascular desease and
aortic
stenosis
which is moderate. For years now I cannot walk out without having to use my GTN spray. Hills are my major problem whereby I have to make regular stops.

HF or not HF - That is the question!
She said that she has valve problems with
aortic
stenosis
and some mitro valve regurgitation. But she is not quite in the “moderate” stage yet, so it doesn’t warrant valve replacement or intervention at this time. So we will wait until she is around 95 yrs old to intervene with the valves?

Aortic stenosis/Giant Cell Arteritis
I have now been told I have
Aortic
Stenosis
and am waiting more investigations. I googled the problem and it says on NHS page that GCA is linked to the heart problem. I have to take calcium for my bones as I am on steroids and a buildup of calcium in the heart valves is part of the problem.

Happy New Year!
I was born with
aortic
stenosis
and in 2011 I had to have a heart valve replacement. All was going well after that for a couple of years until I then developed heart failure in 2015.

Valve replacement options
I’ve had
aortic
stenosis
all my life it has changed to severe in these past few years since having my 2 children and I now also have an enlarged aorta. I’m expecting to need surgery in the very near future but I am yet to have my discussion with my cardiologist about my options.

Back to being scared - AVR
Ive been on here for about a year since being discovered as having
aortic
stenosis
. I have always had a heart murmur but it was never monitored. I am now 60 and my Mum is 88 wit a heart murmur so I thought all would be okay.

How my AVR is going so far - two-month follow-up
But I no longer (for almost the first time I can remember) have
aortic
stenosis
or an
aortic
aneurysm. I am now longer carrying round like a dark cloud the prospect of (first "one day" and latterly "looming") open heart surgery, as I have been since at least my teens.

Aortic Stenosis
My 86 year old mum has worsening
Aortic
Stenosis
. Her Cardiologist refered her to a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to see if she was suitable for TAVI, however the Surgeon is of the opinion that she is well enough for formal (open heart) surgery. We, including my mum, are very nervous about this.
