Hi Guys and Gals... Just trying to sort out yearly echo. Have moderate severe aortic stenosis. NHS secretary not replying to my emails. Any advice.. Last echo April 25th last year. I'm only on annual checkups at the moment but am concerned she hasn't replied. I know for FACT there is no appt booked for me at the echocardiogram department. Many thanks to all...
Yearly Echocardiogram: Hi Guys and Gals... - British Heart Fou...
Yearly Echocardiogram
I don't think it matters particularly if annual followups run a bit late, so I don't tend to act until it's at least some weeks overdue. I should phone - it's always better to talk. The secretary may well have emailed the consultant in response to your email and not got a reply!
A good relationship with the consultant's secretary is always worthwhile. I have found that I often have to chase up my appointments but I am now pretty relaxed about this as it doesn't affect my excellent care.
Annual follow-up appointments inevitably tend to be pushed back by more urgent and acute cases.
I've just had the same thing with my MRI but a couple of phone calls sorted it.
Phone but don't stress - it will happen.
Phone, don't email. They may have changed their address or emails just not getting there
Have you written a letter to your cardiologist about this appointment?Address it to the clinician himself, not his secretary.
Id phone or go physically to see them if possible.
