I've been taking sertaline for a couple of months now but not been helping, so the doctor has put me on new medication called mirtazapine and I take this one at night, do I still take sertaline in the morning and mirtazapine at night or just stick to 1???

Do antidepressants work for ibs?
Hi I have just read an article in a newspaper about treating ibs with amitriptyline.Has anyone tried this and if so did it bring any relief?I have tried just about everything and I am so tired of suffering with pain etc.Considering asking my gp to give this a go but having never took this type of medicine

I'm new here and feeling so, so defeated :(
then spoke to my GP a few weeks later to try and figure out what to do next as I was no better at all and the GP told me - quote - "you just need to figure out a way of accepting it and moving forwards much like when people lose a child or get a cancer diagnosis" and told me again, I probably needed

Trying so hard to be better
I’ve tried numerous
antidepressants
and nothing is helping me feel better. I just don’t feel happy, and I also have anxiety so I’m stressed constantly. I’ve been prescribed Xanax and Clonzepram, the two strongest anxiety-calmers and they have no effect on me. What is wrong with me?!?!

Nortriptyline : neuroprotective? Anti-depressant previously studied, Cure Parkinson’s planning a trial (Thank you Cure Parkinson’s!!)
Can anyone taking Nortriptyline please share your experience? Have you experienced any evidence of it being neuro protective? I’ve contemplated seeking an antidepressant and if it has evidence of being neuro protective, then obviously that’s very compelling.

Do you suffer, the runs, gas that could clear the room, or shop, bloating, and suffer, SAD, migraine, and find it hard to loose weight?
as normal, doses of
antidepressants
, is not going to work, because we will have obsorbing it? Under dosing will keep us depressed for years longer! You get thrush often. due to the sugar, cravings.

Aging warrior looks for comrades-in-arms...
I have been on and off
antidepressants
for several years, and have been off them now for about a year. I was recently prescribed amitryptilene "for pain", but I took it only for a week because of unwanted psychological effects.

Being patient....
I think I've recovered a lot from the extremely severe aftermath of antidepressant withdrawals. It took such a long time. But I'm not totally ok or myself yet. It means my brain is still not totally normal or ok . There's nothing i can do except for waiting.. Its awfully hard to be patient it's

Positive end-to-end experience with antidepressants - anyone?
Never took
AntiDepressants
and scared. Tried Zoloft a couple of weeks ago and had nasty side effects, so didn't make it past the first dosage. Anyway, my question is: is there anyone who took AD for several months, felt better, withdrew and lived more or less happily ever after?

I just turned 60. Been on ssd for the past four years for major depression disorder and gad. Sometimes I feel okay then I crash and spend and spend 4or5 days in bed. I I don’t answer my phone, brush my teeth or take a shower. My friends don’t understand so they feel that they will just leave me alone

Coincidence
Does anyone know if it is normal to be extremely moody and fatigued after missing only one dose of an antidepressant? I feel like this happens every single time I miss one dose but I also feel like every single time it’s been an extra hard few days. I don’t know if this is coincidental or if I’m that

Anyone have experience on how psilocybin may effect RLS
I'm looking to give psilocybin a try for my treatment resistant depression. My big concern is that it regulates seretonin. I've always had a bad reaction to any drug which uses seretonin as it's mechanism of action. Makes my legs go crazy. So I suspect this may as well. The evidence on psilocybin is

New to antidepressants (sertraline) - take it or leave it
I have never taken any
antidepressants
so I have taken my first dose today but then I have started to read about them. It looks like when people are starting to take them, they are on them for several years!
