Depression from GCA or from prednisone
I hate to complain every time I’m on here. I know many of you have suffered for years and some have endured personal heartaches and tragedy. Life could be a lot worse. I have many friends and relatives but no one really understands what I’m going through. Just like me they never heard of GCA either.

Newly Diagnosed with FND. Question
Hello- I (42yrs old) was officially diagnosed with FND this past week, although in fairness I believed this was the cause for quite some time. I even had a neck surgery thinking that was the cause...ugh. As many here, its been a whirl wind 2 years with every known neurological symptom coming and going

WHAT IS YOUR BEST SLEEPING AID? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
I don't want to be hooked on too many
antidepressants
or anxiolytics for sleeping. So please help. I was told at the ER last night by a doctor on call that, it is usually the parkinson's medication, that causes insomnia mostly. He however gave a new prescription for an antidepressant Trazodone.

I've been so tired, I've hardly got out of bed recently, very depressed (point of suicide) already take
antidepressants
, sleeping tablets etc, irritable, paranoid, can't cope with other people. Got to the stage where my two adult kids have moved out due to the above symptoms.

Doctor's are guaranteed to prescribe an uneffective medication for anxiety. Can anyone suggest a reliable online site for anxiety meds?
I've tried the four subcategories of
antidepressants
, mood stabilisers, and frankly the only medication that is effective, and is immediately effective is benzodiazepines, alas the doctors in the 21st century I very reluctant to prescribe such a drug, because they have never experienced anxiety themselves

Anxiety after quitting alcohol
My doctor said you have depression so she has started
antidepressants

My moods get very VERY low during my period though so whenever I did seek medical advice, that was always the focus and I would be given
antidepressants
to try and sent on my way. My periods got especially bad about 4 years ago.

Wellbutrin as an SSRI alternative?
Hi I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has made a successful transition to wellbutrin from an SSRI and whether it has worked for them. My understanding is that this antidepressant does not aggravate RLS. I have tried to gradually taper off of Lexapro and was recently hit with unbearable anxiety

Antidepressants
for mood and anti-anxiety tablets are problematic and people with Parkinson's so they don't work very well.

In A Terrible Mess - Can Anyone Help Please!
I've completely lost the plot and even wonder if I should go back onto
antidepressants
(been off them for 2 years) as I feel continously stressed out by the whole thing. I would be so grateful for any advice from you lovely people on this forum.

IBS and other gastro problems
I have asked for HRT twice and my usual GP has point blank refused, saying I’m too young and just wants to put me on
antidepressants
(but they make me violently sick). However, I’ve just found out that a new GP has joined our practice who is very up-to-date with menopause and proactive about HRT.

Hi everyone 😊 I am on duloxatine(cymbalta)
antidepressants
. I also get some Xanax for anxiety and panic attacks. I only take them when needed . I have always had problems with my mental health. And is understandably worse since sah. I am worried that my doctor will stop prescribing the Xanax .

Understanding Reactions to Vyvanse dosage
How can I determine if I am responding to my stimulant med dosage correctly - or if the dosage needs to be changed? Right now, I have a depressed morning mood on most days (but especially if I skipped the stimulant the day or days before), which then lifts very rapidly within a couple hours of taking

Vulvodynia flare up
Endometriosis has caused nerve damage in my body which has lead to the development of vulvodynia. This has been a huge issue for me for about a year but I have been managing it with the antidepressant amytriptiline to interrupt the pain signals. This has worked really well ever since i started taking

Help please for a friend: I need to understand PMR better . . .
As a result she is now on a raft of medications for heart and blood pressure and even
antidepressants
. However, since the parathyroidectomy, coupled with shortly after all these medications, she is feeling catastrophic.

Does anyone know if hypothyroidism exacerbates depression and anxiety or have any experience with this?
I'm on 25mg of levo, 4 iron tablets a day, and high dose of
antidepressants
and I still don't feel right. I'm 26 y/o for reference and had a subclinical diagnosis of hypo/hashimoto's earlier this year.

A friendly cheer up to everyone on the PP recovery journey!
All those multiple side effects, all those weird sensations i had in my body due to meds - and i had so many of them on my journey (different 2nd and 3rd generation antipsychotics, different
antidepressants
, heavy tranquillisers) - it’s all reversible, all the side effects will be gone when you are off
