So many side effects with blood thinners
I posted earlier this week about constipation with epixaban. I had a long conversation with my GP yesterday and because of several side effects from edoxaban and epixaban, on the advice of my cardiologist she now wants me to try rivoxaban. I have been suffering with dizziness, nausea, and heart palpitations

Joint pain on Edoxaban
Hi there.I was diagnosed with AF 2 months ago and put on Edoxaban. I've started to get joint pains in my hands and knees and was wondering if anyone has had the same problems after just a short time on these tablets. Do you take a different anticoagulant, e.g. Apixaban or other brands and do you have

5 beats
Diagnosed with afib and on blood thinners and Bisoprolol. I am lucky to get 5 normal heart beats in a row and then a pause of 1 beat, sometimes only 3 and then sometimes 10 or more before a pause. My heart rate before treatment was around 60 at rest increasing with exercise. Now in the low 40`s.

Can blood thinners increase AF occurances?
I have paroxysmal AF and I had an occurance last Monday and was taken to hospital where they got me back in rhythm through a 150mg flecanide drip and an overnight stay. The specialist there suggested I go onto blood thinners as I am approaching 65 anyway and I was going to ask to then anyway. so I

Over the top life stress causing symptoms after heart blockage
I’ve been suspecting that I may have a couple different things, including Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, because of my continued chest pain & heart symptoms (one month post a 70% ventricular block and stent) and because of the extremely stressful things I’ve been dealing with. What treatments have you been

Vitamin D, Fish Oil and NOACS?
Hi folks. On GP advice, and following the example of many lovely people on this forum, I take Vitamin D as one of my daily supplements. (The others are Vitamin C and Magnesium). I'm also taking Apixaban and other meds for BP and AF. I've noticed on the Vitamin D container label it says that the Vitamin

Any advice gratefully recieved..Bronchiectasis exacerbation?
Good Morning all, just wanted to seek some help from those in the know ( albeit not medically trained). Mum is 94, started going downhill 8 weeks or so ago, tired, more short of breath than normal and sputum hard to clear and change of colour. Started her Co-amoxiclav but 8 days on no improvement so

Thy3 diagnosis
My thyroid function has improved since the stroke with Tsh going up from 0.02 (during the anticoagulant treatment with Apixaban and various injections and formulation taken because of severe side effects of these
anticoagulants
) to 0.67 after changing to Gingko Biloba as a natural blood thinner.

Taking part in Watchman trial to establish if it’s safe to come off anti-coagulants like Apixaban
I volunteered to do this as part of a world wide trial covering 3000 patients to assess the reduction in stroke risk from this procedure compared to taking modern

like Apixaban over the long term. 1500 will have Watchman 1500 will be in the control group and continue with

bleeding after hyperbaric oxygen therapy
I had prostate cancer and prostate removed late 2018, 6 months later had 35 rounds of radiation in prostate bed because PSA was rising. All was ok until October 2022 when I had a heart attack. Cardiologist put me on blood thinners and 3 weeks later I had severe hematuria and had to be hospitalized.
