Aneurysm and Stroke
Nearly 3 months ago my wife had an
aneurysm
which was operated on but further complications caused a stoke. The damage is on the right side of the brain meaning that it affects the left side of her body.

Miracles do happen
The night before op I collapsed and was rushed in, went to theatre to be told unable to do coiling as there was a clot in front of
aneurysm
and was stopping blood flow into it. Since then I have had scans that have shown the clot is still in place and
aneurysm
was shrinking.

my husband has been told previously that he can’t have an MR because he has a metallic heart valve , today his endoscopic ultrasound was cancelled which was to investigate his recent acute pancreatitis, complication

and gastrointestinal haemorrhage.

Dialysis the only Option??
My husband had emergency surgery to repair an aortic
aneurysm
which lasted well over 9 hours, as a result the blood flow to the kidneys was tied off and they are not working at all, GFR 6. The hospital has placed him on 3xweek dialysis, they are not offering any other options, are there any?

vasospastic coronary arteries
I have had ( I think) nearly every other test which in order are exercise stress test, numberous echos, CT , MRI stress, angiogram, CT then open heart surgery for
aneurysm
. Interestingly the only lengthy period of relief ( nearly two months exactly) was after the OHS ( for the
aneurysm
).

New diagnosis for Ascending Aortic Aneurysm help please
This
aneurysm
must have occurred quickly because it wasn’t there when I had my stent fitted two years ago. Do you think been taken off Ramipril has caused it? I am very fed up as my mother died with this type of
aneurysm
at 62.

Just diagnosed with 4.0 cm aneurysm of ascending aorta and severe calcification
Hi Friends I cannot express how shocked and dismayed I am finding out that I have severe calcification of my aorta and a 4.0 cm
aneurysm
. I have read that the
aneurysm
can be monitored yearly with imaging but there is nothing that can be done for the calcification.

Concerned partner
Hi guys, my partner had a brain
aneurysm
, 3 times ruptured, 3 times operation on the same vein. Is anyone else experiencing dizziness and fatigue and headaches after napping long after the operation was done?

💤 sleep
I've always been a good sleeper but following the stroke triggered by brain
aneurysm
surgery. I've been regularly finding myself waking at 1-2am thinking it's the morning and time to get up.

Guidance needed for decision making of implanting ICD
My MRI reports are suggesting I have wall thickness of 18mm in mid anteroseptal segment, dyskinetic true apex (apical
aneurysm
) and LGE in basal to mid anterior and septal segments amounting to >30% total myocardial mass. The faulty gene identified is MYH7.

Inadvertently diagnosed aneurysm
I haven't heard anything at all from anyone and have of course googled
aneurysm
constantly, which has led me to think all sorts! So, my question is, does it seem like something that can wait till they get round to me, or should I be harassing someone for help?

Hi I have been told I have a dilated ascending aorta of 4.9cm when does this become a
Aneurysm
as the consultant did not say
Aneurysm
but it’s important as I work in the transport field and the DVLA says that if you have a
Aneurysm
of any size you must inform them or you will get a £1000 fine and prosecuted

Dissected aortic aneurysm
After reading some of the posts I realise that I am not alone in not having much information about my condition. My dissection was not traumatic, in fact I didn't realise I had it until I had an echo cardiographer and then a ct scan,. Naturally I 'googled' the condition afterbeing told by my GP that

.” From the bit of reading I have done and a phone call with my doctor: this a small

that will be watched.
