Things have moved pretty quickly. I got a call yesterday and I am off for a CT scan this anfter after my surprise diagnosis of an ascending aortic aneurysm. I will give it a week then chase up my consultant appointment. Just want to know what’s what and hopefully it will just be monitored for now 🙏 Just over a year since I had my partial nephrectomy for a kidney tumour so praying I get a year off any more treatment 🤞

Hello :-)

It would be really hard for us to say what they will do but I do hope for now they will monitor it but remember as fearful as this may feel now whatever the outcome it will be to make you as well as possible which even though you have been through so much already that is what you want despite the fear

You will cope no matter what even though you may not feel you will

Others will share their experiences with you when they see your post :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

At least it was found! I took part some years ago in a trial scan to see if I had an AAA, and when the gp called with the result he said, good news, no aneurysm, but you do have a gallstone but you don't need to do anything unless it flares up!!

Almost a year to the day after, I had an attack and had to have my gall bladder removed!! Good luck!

Not what you're looking for?
