my husband has been told previously that he can’t have an MR because he has a metallic heart valve , today his endoscopic ultrasound was cancelled which was to investigate his recent acute pancreatitis, complication aneurysm and gastrointestinal haemorrhage. The dr said he would booked in for MR , is this ok ?

this doctor is gastrointestinal

I've had an MRI. No problem at all with a mechanical mitral valve. He'll be OK! Good luck.

They're stainless, titanium or other non-magnetic materials.
