Hi I have been told I have a dilated ascending aorta of 4.9cm when does this become a Aneurysm as the consultant did not say Aneurysm but it’s important as I work in the transport field and the DVLA says that if you have a Aneurysm of any size you must inform them or you will get a £1000 fine and prosecuted if you have an accident. They also say that if the Aneurysm gets to 5.5cm I have to stop driving HGV vehicles. In most cases its says that it is an Aneurysm is when it gets to 50% bigger than the normal size.

Thanks
