1.5 mgs now blood tests all over the place
So I am into my third year with pmr. I have been at 1.5 mg prednisone for 2 weeks and had my quarterly bloodwork done. Ana is now positive. It was negative last quarter. I am positive for Sjogrens but I don't have any symptoms. Is this because of my lower dosage? I am a little stiff and slow , but

Tinnitus, anxiety and ADHD-like symptoms
Following frequent episodes of amnesia, including two major episodes where I lost several days, I found memory/auditory processing issues, increased anxiety, insomnia, nausea and vertigo has taken it toll. So I started to research the link between mind and brain. I think it's safe to say many of us -

Vision in the recovery weeks ( and long term) after a trabeculectomy.
I have had narrow angle glaucoma for over 10 years and despite years of drops and a laser iridotomy in both eyes my glaucoma is slowly progressing. My sight loss in my left eye is not too bad at all ( patchy small areas) but I do feel my central vision is not as good in my left eye ( no cataract or other

Pain won't stop
Hi all, it's been assumed that I'm struggling with IBS for around 6 weeks. I've tried buscopan forte with no ease. Last Friday I started Mebeverine hydrochloride 3 times a day, it's not helping! For 6 weeks I have pretty much been stuck in the fetal position with servere cramping pain that I'm comparing

IBS and possible prolapse in bowel
Hi all, I have been diagnosed with IBS and Diverticulitis. Pregablin medication seems to be helping. When I recently explained to the GP that every day I am in discomfort from my bowel and despite me having bowel movements on a daily basis that within 30-45 mins after I feel I need to have another bowel

First MS Neuro Appointment!
Neuro confirmed in person that I have MS. I have RRMS. To get me out of the current flare, I started steroid infusions today, and will do 3 days of it. I am hopeful that it will really help. I'm looking forward to seeing what my 'new normal' is (more like impatiently waiting for this flare to be over

suspected epidural tumour
Hi all! Hope you are all doing well. My dad just got his scans back, and to go along with his rising PSA (over 260 now), the said they suspect he has an epidural tumour. Our MO typically glazes past his scan results as she doesn’t seem them significant, I want to make sure I am right to be worried here

colonoscopy query
I’m scheduled to endure a colonoscopy on 16th January. We are booked on a flight to Thailand on 1st February (14 hours) . Guidelines say two weeks should pass before flight so in theory ok. However this is a trip of a lifetime for us, much delayed and all booked before this cancer worry. I’ve no idea

From high hopes to not a lot of hope in one gruelling morning.
Hi everyone. What a day. Particularly what a morning. This is my third post. I was commenced on Mycophenolate by the Royal Hallamshire Consultant in early January. I attended for my second consultation this morning. Appointment was 10.20am. Arrived 9.30am. Car park full. Had to park half mile away and

Cool, newly discovered AI search engine for supplements - SUPP.ai
While updating my files on curcumin formulations (Thanks to MB's recent post on Thracurmin for cognitive function), this website popped up in my search results. It was developed by the Allen Institute for AI (founded by Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen) and is designed to search for supplement interactions

flutter not fibrillation
Hi all I have paid to see an EP (privately) today who has confirmed 100% I have atrial flutter and no fibrillation? Anyone else just have flutter? He has recommended an ablation to sort it out and told me to stop taking Flecainide which makes me nervous. He says it probably isn’t doing much and could

Experiences with fast protein digestion
I am getting tired of not having any protein during the day or just fasting all day and I would like to be able to get "cheat days" once in a while. In this quest, I am convinced that there might be ways to digest food and in particular, protein faster 🧀🍕 Has anyone tried anything that you have found

Gods beautiful creations
Last week I was able to ski with a bunch of my grandkids and all my pics were of them. Some days I felt ill but it was so worth it Today I went snowshoeing in a snow storm. What a peaceful serene setting on those snow covered paths nestled in the pines. Even the village where the trail system begins

Sigmoid Sinus Diverticulum
Hello, So I've been suffering from tinnitus since 2022 and from pulsatile tinnitus since 2023. I've been to ENT and had an MRI scan with and without contrast. My results with contrast show that I have a small transverse sinus diverticulum. Which from looking online is a rare vascular disorder. I

Functional practitoner
In my search for answers, other than taking pills only for any manifestations of illness which occur (I have Sjogrens disease also), I am speaking with a functional practitioner tonight as they claim to find out causes of and then treat so it should be interesting. Doctors just give you more and more

Intro
I have had intermittent tinnitus, a low drone head noise, since May 2021 (I think vaccine induced). In Nov 2022 I had microsuction on one ear. In April 2023 I woke up to nonstop static/white noise in my head, high pitched and loud. Has been 24/7 for nearly 10 months. Can hear it over the TV, in the car
