Good blood results
Although I have had a lot of difficulty losing weight while being on
Anagrelide
, harder than when on hu. Anyway that's a good start to my year so I'm pleased with that.

Platelets up and other blood results!
I've been on
Anagrelide
since mid-August (after 3 years on hu) and my platelet levels have been up and down in that time. Eight weeks ago they were 450, down from 520 three weeks previous to that. I went back yesterday and they were up to 590.

The doctor switched me to
Anagrelide
which he said only targets the platelets, but the red cells did not come back. So, he did a bone marrow biopsy a year ago and discovered I now have Myelofibrosis. My doctor put me on 25 mg of Jakafi 2X per day.

Pleased to say...
I'm really pleased to say that after 5 weeks on
Anagrelide
instead of HU that my toes are healing really well, the open wounds have disappeared. They are still a bright red/purple colour and still quite tender but I can wear a shoe (with socks) without screaming in pain.

I found that I could not tolerate Hydrocarbamide but was better with
Anagrelide
despite side effects. However my platelets climbed to over 900 and was told earlier this year that Busulfan was the last resort.

Severe itching
I have E.T. and was transferred to Busulfan earlier this year when my platelets increased after a period being treated with
Anagrelide
. Busulfan is prescribed for short periods and is closely monitored and I have to go for blood tests every 2 weeks.

Blood Results
I've been on
Anagrelide
for 2 weeks now (after 3 years on hydroxy) and have been to the hospital for a check up. My platelets were down from 415 to 305, best they've been since the beginning of last year.

Still got nasty toes!? Advice please.
I'm now off Hydroxycarbamide (less than a week) and on
Anagrelide
. My toes are still a mess. The "oldest" is starting to dry, but Now my big toe is swollen, red and weeping, the skin is starting to split open around the nail bed as well.

First Day on Anagrelide!
I had to have an ECG as apparently
Anagrelide
will probably give me palpitations at first! 😳 Anyway my platelets were down to 405 - almost normal. The dermatologist had written to the haematologist and said the problems with my foot were entirely drug related.

1 rare disease apparently isn't enough! And considering Interferon
Platelet count only at 460 but was down to 230 on
Anagrelide
. So it's doubled in during the month of not being on
Anagrelide
. The first 3 weeks I felt amazing but have been down hill since then, just when you think its over!

Newbie
I think I must have had every treatment available in the last 32 years; radio active phosphorus injections, interferon, Hydrea, Busulphan,
Anagrelide
, aspirin and clopidogrel to name but a few. I also have an underactive thyroid and take Thyroxine for that.

Hello! Second period of ET after 10 years without symptoms. The process is so slow...
This was roughly three months ago and my platelets have lowered dramatically since then through the use of
Anagrelide
.

Living with PV for 47 years after father diagnosed days earlier.
After a couple a years my Hematologist prescribed
Anagrelide
to my daily regime since I was not feeling well. I still am taking this drug and seeing the same Hematologist. In 1997 I was also introduced to a Pulmonologist so to summarize his findings from 1997-present here it goes: 1.

MY QUESTION IS : IS THERE ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE WHO IS ON BOTH
ANAGRELIDE

Ruxolitinib at last
When that was terminated by the FDA I had to revert to
Anagrelide
and a horror 11 month stretch of bleeds apparently bought on / exacerbated by a mild case of acquired Von Willibrand disease. At long last I have been approved to commence Jakavi.

Anagrelide and herpes
Now into about 5th week of
anagrelide
and now bad herpes on face. Taking aciclovir tabs but seems to be taking a while to clear. Has anyone else experienced herpes as a result of taking
anagrelide
and if so, any advice? Tinkerbell13

Does anyone else have bleeding with anagrelide?
Late last year i came off the Fedratinib trial and was placed back on
Anagrelide
. My current dose of 4 mg per day (previously it was 2mg /day) holds the platelet count quite well around the 400 mark , but I now very regularly suffer heavy nose and prostate bleeds.
