That has worke until now, but I saw my haemotologist yesterday and , while the red count is still within a normal range, my platelets are now beginning to climb. The

Any advice?

My doctor wants me to switch to Anagrelide. I am not sure about this treatment. Has anyone else taken this. He has also ordered a LDH on my bloodwork. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Compromised immune system

Being on hydroxy and anagrelide her platelets are within normal limits. Her white cell count is always high though. The consultant seemed to think that the white cell count was ok when we asked if it might be worse or better if she ever caught covid. Last night on BBC was a programme on immunity.

Taking both HU and Pegasys?

Anagrelide is under discussion, which I am not keen about due to side effects. Or I could try re-introduction of the HU or Peg. Each had their benefits (and side effects) so I wondered about low dose of both.

First PFIZER VACCINE DONE!

I have ET Jak2+ and currently on anagrelide and aspirin. My haematologist confirmed that it is quite safe for me to have the vaccine. In fact he said Pfizer is the preferred option with compromised immune systems.

ET causing dizziness?

I have had ET for about 10 years now, taking hydroxycarbamide and anagrelide during this time. Developed vertigo a few weeks ago out of the blue. Having bloods done this week and telephone consultation next week. Anybody else have this?

what options are open to me?

I’m already taking 17 hydroxi and 9 anagrelide a week. I know an increase of even one anagrelide is no good as I recently had to drop 1 and raise hydroxi by 1 Feeling drained and low!! I have a phone consultation on Tuesday.

ET/melanoma correlation, Anagrelide (XAGRID©) and I.D.R.

He adds that in the meantime he will consult with the 'Regional Centre of Pharamco-Vigilance' (I live in France) and that if it seems prudent to take me off the Hydréa, he proposes 'another non-mutagen treatment: Anagrelide (XAGRID©).' Has anyone had any experience of this drug?

Switching Meds is making me CRAZY!!!

Now I'm back on Anagrelide and these headaches are driving me crazy not to mention I feel dizzy. Hoping my body adjust soon. I remember having these headaches when first started taking Anagrelide 3 years ago.

Anagrelide shortage

I live in Florida and can’t get Anagrelide at any of my stores. I tried ordering from Canada but no availability. Does anyone have a contact of a pharmacy that you know of that could possibly have any Anagrelide. Thank you

Anagrelide and high blood pressure?

I’ve been on Anagrelide for a few years without any problems, but I’ve recently developed very high blood pressure and palpitations, my GP has prescribed tablets and statins, (to be collected tomorrow) I didn’t connect the problem with the Anagrelide until tonight and having checked the leaflet in the

Milburn.

Put then on anagrelide which did not work. Platelets levels ran up to 1.3m. Offered the P32 treatment which was amazing. Platelets levels dropped to 350 within 3 weeks and held for several months. Was advised at the time that I would need further treatment within 2 years.

Haemo Update

However, Haemo advises that I SHOULD be on platelet reducing medication , suggesting Anagrelide . I've been left for another four weeks to settle down further after which she wants me to start on small dose Anagrelide .

Text or no text?

I spoke to my specialist nurse about 10 days ago, she told me I wasn't extremely high risk as I am on Anagrelide which doesn't lower immunity as much as hydroxy, but to err on the safe side and stay in. So I am doing as I am told. I've been catching up on jobs like sorting my wardrobe out.

Anagrelide and heart palpitations

put me on anagrelide. I had palpitations for a month before I had an episode at his office.. He changed me back to Hydroxy that day and no more palpitations. Good luck at your appointment.

Anagrelide!

I haven’t gone back onto medication yet but my haematologist says I can consider anagrelide rather than hydroxycarbamide. What is anyone’s opinion on this ? I’ve heard there can be horrendous side effects . - Thankyou!
