Asthma flare up
Hi, new to this - but help appreciated. I’ve had asthma since I was 7 (now 32), it’s always been well controlled and I’d never had an attack. Last week I started to become wheezy, saw asthma nurse, told had slight bronchitis and told to up preventer (Sirdupla) and given spacer. Within 2 days ended up

Chest Infections and working
Hi, I've been hit with a chest infection which I've had nearly 3 weeks now. I was prescribed prednisolone and amoxicillin. Past experience with these is that it leaves me with a productive cough (clear not green/yellow) for weeks after the other symptoms have gone (shortness of breath, temperature, aches

Antibiotic resistance
I have asthma and Bronchiectasis and have been fighting lung infections with antibiotics since last August. I’m allergic to amoxicillin and now find myself in a rather worrying state of health as doxycycline hasn’t cleared up the infection and I now have tetracycline to try. Does anyone else have

UTI?
I’m hoping someone can offer me some insight. Apologies in advance for the long post. On 14th December I went to the doctor with a suspected UTI. She did the dip test and said it was positive and gave me a prescription for amoxicillin. My symptoms improved then returned after Christmas so I went back

Ive been over thinking to much and need some opinions.
So just a few days ago i had a dentist appointment for a regular cleaning and check up. Everything was good until they came back from looking at my x-rays. The dentist told me i had 2 broken and infected teeth on my bottom left side, my wisdom tooth and my moler. He asked me if i wanted them removed,

I’m new and not sure what’s going on with me!
This could be quite a long one and for that I’m sorry! I was a healthy, symptom free 32 year old until 30th August of last year. I suffered a pregnancy loss and had months of complications following this. I had retained tissue and bled heavily, on and off until mid November when it settled and I went

Is Lobe infection in my right lung actually pneumonia
I have been ill for 4 weeks now with what I think was originally flu that became a chest infection. Amoxycillin didn’t work for the first week of taking antibiotics so I was switched to Doxycycline. I also had X-ray which showed right lung lobe infection, says my go. I took Doxycycline for 7 days, then

I can't take this anymore....not sure what to do really...
Ever since I started getting dental work done once more (last monday) I've been getting anxious, especially after I started taking amoxicillin and getting pretty bad allergic reactions from it...from getting dizzy, being unable to breath temporarily, and diarrhea/constipation, losing a lot of water weight

Chest is being a little *ahem* snitch
I have severe asthma-although-possibly-not (long story but I’m happy to divulge if anyone is interested) and although my lung function was in the normal range at my last clinic appointment, it was reduced for me. This was my first appointment at the new clinic in a different county so all that really

CLL spreading to lungs?
Hi, My name is Susie & I’m 53 years old. I had aggressive chemo in ‘13 because I was in so much pain & it really helped me. I have been sick with bronchitis probably 4x a year & it takes forever to end. I’m currently recovering from pneumonia (7 weeks in) & I’ve had a serious cough & shortness of breath

Is otodex ok to use?
I got my ears cleaned out of wax because I was hearing a ringing sound in my ear, the doctor said it was FULL of wax so he clean it out with a water jet but the ringing is still here. He gave me otodex and amoxicillin because my ear was "red" are these drugs safe? Will the make my tinnitus worse?

Actemra and Managing Infections
I have been taking Actemra since June 2018. It allowed me to taper more quickly all through the summer; the Actemra side effects were manageable. In October it began. I had 2 ear infections about a month apart. Both times I had to take Amoxicillin. Then I had a toothache. It turned out to be an infection

Dentist & antibiotics
I had a mitral valve replacement in Nov 2018 and on the six week appointment with surgeon he reccomended to take antibiotics before going to the dentist even just for an hygienist appointment. I asked who will prescribed them and he said that my dentist will. I am due for a routine hygienist appointment
