Scared and worried
My doctor had me on
amitriptyline
and anti inflammatory for many many years. I became frustrated they were only treating symptoms and masking what was causing it so I stopped taking them. Really need a good rheumatologist! Thanks for being here!! Christy

Amitriptyline withdrawal
Hi, I am new here but would like some advise from anyone coming off
amitriptyline
. I have been taking 10mg for nearly 4 months but it was making me feel worse, so dreadfully tired and weary. Last week I decided to stop, felt heaps better for a few days then the withdrawal symptoms began.

Weight Gain
I have found out from other suffers that
amitriptyline

No treatment being offered.
After today's appointment they have just increased her
amitriptyline
to 20mg and then said go to your GP if anything changes. Surely this is not right. Surely there must be some sort of treatment plan offered rather than simply giving her some drugs (which don't really help) and sending her away?

Can anyone explain my blood test results? (Copied from another post) - please ask if you need to know anything
Told to double and even triple up on my
amitriptyline
and she's booked me an appointment to see my registered Dr next week to review. I remembered to ask for a printout of my blood tests - there's pages of it!!!

Going on holiday...
but Dr. thought there was nerve involvement so gave me low dose
Amitriptyline
. It has improved somewhat so am going away for 5 days on a coach tour! My question is, having stalled at 8mgs for 2 months because of the Bursitis, will the holiday mean I should boost the dose for the duration?

I am currently taking 2x 30mg/500 cocodamol every 4-5 hours, my naproxen got changed today to 1x500 morning/evening, because the 3x 250gm made no impact after a week I am also on propanol 80gms morning/night originally prescribed for ocular migraines and 50 gm

When one type of medication can react with another.
I was then put on
Amitriptyline
as it helps with depression and pain. I myself decided to reduce the Gabapentine and am suffering with neuropathic pain with the reduction. I also have arthritic pain and muscel pain.

Different Diagnosis
I'm extremely worried as all my doctors have told me my kidneys and lungs are fine but my pain started after a kidney infection 2 years ago and I'm really worried that after abusing my tablets (
Amitriptyline
, Gabapentin) I've done some damage inside or they've missed something, but my doctors say it's

Sorry me again!
I've been taking 20mg of
amitriptyline
. Could it be a reaction to this? Has anyone else suffered from a rash?

Help with advice about pain medication please
I can't believe that this is the only help he is going to receive she also suggested he could try
amitriptyline
but he doesn't think these will work very well.

Work still doesn't understand
I saw the GP earlier this week and he wanted me to reduce my dose of
amitriptyline
as I didn't seem so depressed then I reminded him that he had prescribed it to try and help with the fibro. He agreed to keep me on current dose then went on to ask how my husband was!!!

Pain in neck and head
I'm on 20mg of
amitriptyline
which is to increase by 10mg each week until I feel 'side effects' (not really sure what that means) my gp said. Is this 'normal' pain for fibro? Whatever normal is. I've only been diagnosed 2 weeks and am still coming to terms with everything and am feeling scared.

Hi everyone
And 30mg
amitriptyline
at night to help me sleep. I came off pregabalin as it makes you put on weight and messes with you a little however good for nerve pain.

Back pain/sciatic nerve issues
I am on nortriptyline for pain, which is better than the
amitriptyline
I was on, but the numbness is affecting me badly. I had an MRI that showed no back problems but was referred to the spine clinic.
