Cardiac Ablation completed.
My stress echo and CTCA were all good, and although continuing on apixiban and
amiodarone
for a short while ahead, with being in sinus and the previous tests I feel so much more certain about the future than I did before. My breathing feels less worrisome at least.

No Afib Episodes Then Why Take Blood Thinners
He was on
amiodarone
for a time but then was taken off and has had no Afib now for months. His doctor is offering him a Watchman ( left atrial appendage closure) procedure to eliminate the risk of blood clots.

Some input from the community
So, would you have the ablation done, or wait until the
Amiodarone
stops working or presents ill effects? I appreciate all feedback. Thanks for reading. Mike

Oh well, back on the Merry-Go-Round again (Ablation)
Probably load me on
Amiodarone
again or a beta-blocker, who knows. Anyone have the stages like I did? In particular being on your feet setting you off Thanks

Just prescribed Meloxicam by my GP for joint pain and headaches.
I take Eliquis and
Amiodarone
for my Afib and was wondering if anyone on here has taken Meloxicam while being treated for Afib. I've read a lot of conflicting feedback concerning the success/drawbacks of NSAIDs for people currently on an Afib regimen. Thanks for reading.

Berberine - does anyone have experience of taking this for PAF?
The cardiologist is in the process of prescribing
amiodarone
for me “to get me through to the procedure” and I haven’t had the nerve to look up the side effects yet (I’ve had adverse reactions to all of the meds they’ve prescribed over the past five months).

Guess it’s back!
Their protocol was to administrate
amiodarone
then if that failed I was to be converted by cardioversion. I explained that I had a bad reaction to
amiodarone
and didn’t want cardioversion so they didn’t do anything but monitor me for the 6 hours in Resus.

I take Ramipril,
Amiodarone
, Asprin, Bisoprolol, Ezetimibe daily. My gp took me off Ramipril as a temporary measure last Wednesday, but nothing has improved.

Allergic reaction to Amiodarone
I have been taking
Amiodarone
for 1 year and since May 2022 every time I go in the sun my skin starts to itch. Does anyone else have this problem? (I have persistent AF and I am on the waiting list for an ablation).

Amiodarone
I had a pacemaker/defib fitted Monday and immediately placed on Amiodorone. The only warning I got about this drug was to avoid sunlight (just my luck its not mid-winter). Two things, how much sunlight is too much and are hands affected? I am donning long sleeves, trousers and wide brimmed hat

Tavi declined by Consultant, but medical records maybe incorrect!
I was first diagnosed with aortic stenosis in 2016, since then I’ve been on 20mg of Furosemide and one
amiodarone
200mg. The cardiologist tells me I have a strong left ventricle function. I had an echo done, I’ve been told the valve is now more rigid and she mentions a TAVI procedure.

Taken off amiodarone
Just to let people know that I have been told to stop taking amiodorane. I've persevered for 7 days but the nausea is now so bad that I cannot keep water down. I'm told it should take just a few days to get out of my system. My heart rate had also gone down to 50. I'm waiting for my cardiologist

i mentioned yesterday a video where the cardiologist said how FEW problems he has with amiadarone. It might be reassuring for people needing to use https://youtu.be/5AGmUKE
