Constipation
However I am on
amiodarone
and other drugs which make me constipated. Does anyone know of a laxative that is compatible with
amiodarone
. Senna and other derivatives are said to be incompatible in the leaflet with
amiodarone

Has anyone else on here had bouts of vertigo whilst on
amiodarone
? No other side effects thankfully but the vertigo can be a little unnerving.

Titrating down from Amiodarone
QOL improved quite dramatically after a few months of taking
Amiodarone
as gradually, and it was a gradual process, NSR became sustained after about 3 months of taking
Amiodarone
at the maximum dose.

Amiodarone Meds after Ablation
After ablation I was put on high dose of
Amiodarone
but it has been decreased to 3 times a week. In the past 15 days my BP has been in 120's/70's which is very good so I haven't taken any BP meds. I hope that the
Amiodarone
will be eliminated as well.

Ablation time frame - diagnosis to procedure
My husband has AF and been back and forth for nearly 4 years now. 3 cardio versions ,
amiodarone
which has now taken its toll on his thyroid and is undergoing treatment for that. Is there a time frame from diagnosis of AF for an ablation to actually be helpful?

That solar plexus feeling...
Trying (again) to come off
Amiodarone
(in NSR) and have started to get the nasty feeling in my solar plexus that I get when I'm on the edge of going back into AF, plus lots of ectopics. Have talked to my Cardiologist in the past about this and it doesn't seem to be a recognised thing.

Drugs
I have been prescribed
amiodarone
200 2x 2 weeks 1x 2weeks for post-ablation but did not handle any drugs well especially calcium blockers which it contains before hence the ablation.

Amiodarone and side effects
Hi everyone, I have just received a letter from my cardiologist saying that I am going to be put on
Amiodarone
to help keep me in rhythm after my cardioversion. After researching the drug I see it’s a black box drug with toxic nasty side effects.
