Bleeding for 26 days, taking Tranexamic Acid and Norethisterpne 1 x 3 day of each.
I’ve been bleeding for nearly a month. My period started and never stopped. Had to go to A & E twice, they prescribed me Norethisterone for 10 days, but bleeding didn’t stop, went again to AE and they’ve added Tranexamic Acid. I’ve had slight improvement for 2-3 days after taking these pills for 2 days

I finally decided to stop the daily injections, even if just for a drug-holiday. so last night no injection. The relief was instant. I had more strength to go to bed. Was not dizzy anymore and my low mood had vanished. No leg cramps overnight, and I feel rested this morning. 100% better. The side effects

The 'Brain Energy Gap' and its possible implication on the progress of PD.
Has anyone else seen the work of Professor Stephen Cunnane on the 'brain energy gap' and its implications for PD, Alzheimers and cognitive impairment? I've put a link to one of his talks below, but to summarise: - Cognitive impairment and brain health in PD, Alzheimers, is due in part to an 'brain

Eating Nuts for Heart Health
If you are interested in eating nuts to improve your health, look up each one to see what vitamins or minerals it will supply and how many you should eat daily. It's important that nuts are 'really well chewed' and if you do that it will not effect pockets that may have formed in the bowel due to

Can PMR weakened muscle cause curvature of the spine?
I finally saw a doctor at the pain clinic today. Since being diagnosed with PMR in 2018 I have lost 15cm in height. In 2020, just before lockdown, I was moving a pkt of mushrooms across my body from the table to the counter, when I felt something 'go' in the middle of my back. An hour or so later

Poop talk: microbiome and prostate cancer, some news
Ok, it's one fascinating subject, especially if we use the word microbiome! Consider that the study was carried out on murine models but also on humans, so there are some interesting findings. In a small small nutshell (but I suggest you to read the whole article, at least the introduction and the conclusions

Alendronic Acid
I’ve been diagnosed with Osteopenia. About 7 months ago I was given vitamin d and calcium tablets which I am fine with. I was also given Alendronic acid which makes me feel very lethargic for a couple of days after taking. Has anyone else experienced this. I’m virtually at the point of deciding not to

Any suggestions for how to improve my poos
Hello all. My apologies for the title of this post, but I didn’t know how to phrase it. I was diagnosed with GCA in January 2023 and have been on Prednisone ever since, along with other meds that are given to mitigate the side effects of the Pred. I also started Methotrexate this January. My first attempt

Affect of Alendronic acid if needing dental work?
This aspect bothers me as well as the implications of taking Alendronic acid. At age 81 after taking AA for about 18 months, I stopped it after I was prescribed HRT patches for another problem . Whilst HRT protects bones to a certain extent , I believe it doesn't increase bone density as does AA.

Am I right to suspect endometriosis and ask to see a private specialist?
I’m worrying I was wrong, asking to see an endometriosis specialist. What if I’m being dramatic or I’m just really sensitive to completely normal period pain. I have to take naproxen on the first day of my period cause when I used to not take it, my pain would get severe and I kept vomiting or feeling

Advice on Vitamin D, K2 and Folate
Hi Everyone I have recently had a range of blood tests done, unfortunately I don’t seem to have any results for thyroid which they were supposed to do. My GP has asked me to make an appointment to speak to her, so I’ll ask why I haven’t got any results for thyroid and whether the test was done.
