Undiagnosed Hypothyroidism
I've been experiencing hypothyroid symptoms for a couple of years now. My TSH has been steadily creeping up, but so far has remained in the "normal" range when checked in my local surgery, around 3.4. I had some private tests done and my TSH was shown as 4.4 (June) and 5.9 (August). My second test

what thyroid or other tests will help in improving heart condition ?
I’ve been hypothyroid for almost 20 years. Only treated / offered levothyroxine. Last full year reduced from 125 to 100 mg then in December gp wanted to go from 125 to 150( don’t think he realised I was on 100. Rang and eventually nurse rang and agreed to 125. At same time having tests about long standing

Small thyroid gland question......
What does it mean if your Free Thyroxine is low (10.8 pmol/L - 12 - 22 R ) and your Thyroid is small ? My Dr is telling me he is unable to except my recent private blood tests which is annoying as I sent bloods of to MediChecks only this morning to check my Thyroid Antibodies which are normally

Hoping you can shed some light on my husband’s medichecks test. He takes 125 mcg of thyroxine and had been feeling really well up until a month or so. He now had a very dry annoying cough (xray showed his chest was clear) and feeling very poorly, napping in the afternoon which is unusual. He had a gp

Underactive thyroid???
I was diagnosed recently with underactive thyroid and prescribed Levothyroxine. I wasn’t happy about taking any medication without further investigation so requested a T3 blood test. My results were T4 = 10.9, TSH = 2.82, T3 = 3.1 From this I gather that the TSH and T3 are within the normal range

Shared care agreement, should I worry?
Hi all, Having completed a T4 & T3 trial with great successes, my NHS endo is soon due to approach my local GP for a shared care agreement to enable me to collect my prescription from the surgery. The surgery is in my home town, and it will be infinitely easier if this happens. Since, at the minute

? Private blood test
hi, can anyone please advise best place to get thyroid blood testing as go will not do more than annual TSH. Also, what are the markers? What I mean is, I have heard of t3 and t4 but also heard of others to make up about 7 things to test in a ‘full’ panel? Any tips. Would be appreciated thanks

The results are in. I don’t know what to think of this months appointment and I’m confused and anxious but also a bit relived that it’s over. My husbands GFR was at 39 today, which has been the pretty steady number we’ve been trending towards. He had an Albumin/creatine urine test and the results were
