Levothyroxine causing hair loss??
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the end of August last year and was put on levothyroxine (50mcgs every other day). My TSH levels were crazy - it was 36! Around October time, I started noticing my hair falling out. It was only a bit in shower. I didn’t have any issue with hair loss prior to

Probably A Silly Question, But Will Ask Anyway: Biotin In Shampoo & Long Term Effects.
Hiya. I am currently using a shampoo and conditioner which contains Biotin, which is supposed to help with thin, fragile hair, especially during the menopause. Although it is more likely to be a gimmick, the products does suit me, not in a miraculous way, as I haven't gained a thick bushy mane yet 🤣

Recommendations for a good selenium supplement?
That's not expensive? Selenomethionine is the type I'm after. I currently take Viridian which is around £8/9 for 30 capsules. It doesn't last long as I take 2 capsules daily. Previously I used solgar but I didn't feel it was as effective. There's so many different supplement sellers on Amazon now

T3 medication hair loss
Did anyone experience temporary hairloss when starting T3 medication? I lost a lot of hair when I was on 50mcg levo and that stopped when I was on 75mcg levo. Now i added 15mcg T3 and I feel better. My anxiety is also a lot better! But my hair started falling out again. Did anyone experience something

Terrible Hair Loss Recently
I have
alopecia
, where I would get bald spots every once in awhile. Just recently, I have many bald spots, large ones, that are prevalent to about 35% of my scale. I am seeing a dermatologist in December. Does anyone have advice regarding hair products, if they have experienced this, etc.?

Advanced test
I’m going to do the Advanced Test in the morning. My GP tests only TSH and levothyroxine is slowly increasing which I’m ok about I suppose. However, I want to know more about the vitamin component and T3 and 4. The Medichecks instructions advise test in the morning but don’t say anything about taking

Scalp SLE diagnosed April 2021, conflicting/contradictory medications - any advice?
Returned to Spain for holidays and saw trichologist: initially wasn't convinced I had either lupus or
alopecia
until he did the physical exam on scalp as blood tests (done twice in April 2021 and July 2022) aren't always conclusive.

People with thyroid problems are also more prone to developing
alopecia
, which is an autoimmune condition that causes hair to fall out in patches.
