Boron, an interesting article about supplement for T3 increase
Found this article which I found interesting as a possible supplement to assist with T3 may consider after next blood test if no improvement. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4712861/?fbclid=IwAR3dMJ-9rLLZ47g1qBU4LbMViJROk8gIbRNhijGMMW3giwHjVbsY06Huppk

Hair Loss
I am aware the thyroid being out of range can cause hair loss. Other than trying to get my thyroid back into range, is there anything else I can do to help slow/reduce hair loss and help my body to regenerate/grow new hair? Still hypothyroid, working on improving my levels and TgAB are increasing.

hey everyone the 1 symptom that I hate the most is hair loss, every day when I brush my hair I’m loosing and even more when I wash it, I try and wash my hair twice a week, to reduce the loss but it’s not helping, I’ve been taking iron supplements and zinc and copper, and others that might help hair

Eye brow hair loss
Hi, a few days ago I posted my story on this forum. Today I would like to focus on one problem in particular, eye brow hair loss. I always had rather thin and far from perfect eye brows, but since I had my surgery it got much worse. I feel very bad and embarrassed about it 😞 I understand that

Biotin use
I've been reading posts here about taking biotin & how it affects blood test results. I started daily biotin supplement around 2014 when I had a treatment for multiple sclerosis that was thinning my hair & weakening my nails. I found it was really helping & noticed a difference when I ran out once.

Medichecks advanced thyroid rest
Hi all, The instructions for my medichecks test says to stop B12 for two whole weeks before testing! Do others follow this advice? I know from this forum that I have to stop any biotin containing supplements for 7 days before any blood test.

hair loss
Hi I still haven’t seen a rheumatologist so don’t know is I have Lupus or anything else. My Gp thinks it’s something autoimmune and I’ve had so many blood tests. Most of my lovely thick hair has thinned away over the past couple of months and I’m left with a Danny Devito / Bill Bailey style hair. I’ve

Discoid Lupus itchy scalp more bald patches what to do to ease it?
After a biopsy in 2021 which confirmed lupus (scalp) I was prescribed Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine sulfate). Having a long history of being prescribed very strong drugs here in France and becoming unwell from them I didn't take the treatment and finally got to see my normal dermatologist. She prescribed

Hair loss
Have any of you had such a lot of hair loss that you need a wig? Or, does it stop at some point? Mines been thinning for a long time without noticeable hair loss after washing, combing. Now i am too scared to wash it as the amount of hair on comb almost brings me to tears 😢. I'm over active, gone under

No
alopecia
but enough for her and I to notice at showers and brushes. I know that hair loss is a side effect, but wondering if anyone has experienced this and if it’s part of the adjustment period to the medication and if it will eventually stop.

Hair issues
In a way, hair is the least of my issues with thyroid meds....or, in fact, lack thereof.....but the hair loss and strange frizziness is particularly annoying. I had a thick, shiny healthy head of hair before T3 removed, after 22 years, and T4 lowered. Finally, after almost 18 months, thanks to my second

hair loss
Hi I’m having a lot of hair loss, I recently had an infection and I always seem to lose more hair then, it’s coming out in clumps. Has anyone got any tips? I don’t take any meds for lupus so it’s not that. I don’t use heat appliances on my hair either 😊

Struggling to have a physical body
I also have
alopecia
areata (have had for 19 years) I'm really struggling to love myself right now. I know objectively the choices I made are correct, but I'm finding I really would like a break from being in the body that I have.
