red wine allergy
Hi guys, a bit of advice if you please! I'm allergic to red wine and I was wondering, does that mean I'd be allergic to rose wine too? Everyone seems to be going mad for it at the moment, but I'm currently too scared to try it just in case. I think it's made with red grapes, but white wine making

Magnesium
Sorry folks - Emily H especially but I don't know how magnesium helps in asthma. On one of my jaunts this morning I did look it up in a book in a charity shop(!) - exciting jaunts I have I know. The information was scattered through the book which was actually aimed at taking supplements. If I think

Teenage Student new to Asthma
Hi, I’m new here and relatively new to asthma. I just had a few questions that I hoped someone would be able to answer. I had asthma as a child and as far as I know it was well controlled and one of those things that I just grew out of. I am now 19 and 2 years ago I moved into university accommodation

Contact/Skin Allergies...rather fed up
Hi, Hope you guys are all doing well. I'm doing O.K. I've had a rough patch lately with my breathing. I think I am finally correctly diagnosed though as having a congenital trachea problem. So some asthma meds. help, but apparently my inflammation is caused by inhaling food. Not fun, but also not much

Hayfever meds?
Hiya, How's everyone? Okay so hayfever is kicking in now. Great. I ended up at the docs the other day 'cos my eyes swelled shut and although I've tried so many of the available over the counter antihistamines and none of them work he just told me to double my dose and add in (another) course of pred.

Drug Allergies
Just looking for a little reassurance as well as others' experiences. I was wondering how common drug allergies are and if they're more common in individuals with asthma? I've always known I'm allergic to Aspirin and NSAIDs, but when in hospital recently, I had an allergic reaction to another IV drug

Montelukast
Saw the consultant today. He is also puzzled as to why my asthma has flared up. Put me onto motelukast tablets - hope I react better to these than Uniphyllin. I also had a chest x-ray, being tested for allergies and going to have lung function tests - oh joy! Anyone got any stories of Montelukast and
