elevated liver blood test
I have just had blood test for a treatment I have for my MS and it came back with Alanine aminotransferase at 50 and Alkaline phosphatase at 177. These both high. This has never happened before. All other LFT’s were fine. Could this mean I have liver damage? I have no symptoms.

I did a trial of 1.5 mg methylcobalamin 4 times a day and that was positive. I then increased physical activity and had 3 days of a downturn and recovered. I then reduced to .75 mg with no decline. I increased physical activity for three days and had a downturn. I then added .06 mg of methylcobalamin

New here and worried
Potted history. Regular wine drinker. Bottle a night, but recently cut down to 0 since 4 weeks. Have had history of RUQ pain, but it came and went. Has been constant for a month now. Also get lower pelvic pain. I had a hysterectomy with retained ovaries in 2014. I also have lupus and a carrier of haemochromatosis

Phosphate
Hi Everyone, I have hypocalcemia and PTH insufficiency know as hypoparathyroidism but still a working diagnosis. When I have my bone profile done by blood test my phosphate does not elevate high like they usually do when you have low calcium. It just sits around middle normal range and sometimes low

Background I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2024. Fortunate in having very supportive GP who quickly started me on 15 mg Predisolone which brought about dramatic improvement. Dose has been reduced to 14 mg after 1 month. GP plan is to reduce by about 1mg a month, depending on monthly blood test results

Low phosphate levels linked to hypothyroidism?
Hi all, I am under close monitoring for my kidneys by a renal consultant. I had severe acute kidney injury (AKI) caused by sepsis last year and am very slowly improving. At my recent six monthly blood test, my phosphate levels had dropped and they are now below range. The trend for this has been dropping

Blood Tests
Hello I am 2 years post menopausal. I had blood tests done recently and my Alkaline Phosphate & Serum Gamma GT level have come back out of normal range. Has anyone else had this? I’m wondering if menopause is linked to higher Liver readings.

Daughters blood results, advice please
15 year old daughter has been having lots of time off school. not ideal in yr 10 and now 11. I feel a bit guilty about it all, think I have dropped the ball on this one. She had digestion problems when small, had an umbilical hernia repaired about 2 1/2- 3 years then several years of issues, vomiting

SI vs Self-treating
I started using the term self-treating as soon as I started to inject. In the USA I was prescribed 8 weekly cyno 1mg IM then 1mg cyno and 1 mg folic oral daily for life. No further treatment necessary. I did improve but not much. My impetus to self-treat was at first driven to prevent permanent damage

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
I'd a mole removed from my right shoulder blade last November that was initially feared to be cancerous, but thankfully wasn't so. Since then I have an annoying pain in my right upper abdomen. Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which
