My 3 and half year old has been suffering with a cough ALL year. Shes had numerous flare ups and everytime we have been to the doctor they say its her asthma. She was given a steroid inhaler, blue inhaler and montelukast but this cough has never returned back to normal (sounds like a bark, chesty cough

Back Pain at Night
After sleeping for 4 hours, I wake up with backache (muscle, I guess). The pain is not always in one spot. The location of the pain shifts in the back. It is not directly on the spine. The pain location changes while rubbing anywhere from the back of the neck to lower back. Rubbing/massage helps to

Good morning I have seen some really good reviews on the inhaler Trimbow today but am reluctant to try it as whenever I have tried an inhaler with formoterol n it I have had problems. I would like to try Trelogy does anyone have any information on it and do you need to be at a certain stage in COPD

My son is 4 and a half. Since March this year he has had 3-4 wheezy episodes that required AE attendence. He was all times given a reliever inhaler. He has not been diagnosed with asthma yet, but seems so much the case to me. He had eczema as a baby and many allergies. He grew out of the eczema and most

Peak flow
Hi, I need some advice please. I’ve never suffered with Asthma till just over a year ago when I discovered that I had irrational of the airways. Anyway, my problem is that my peak flow meter readings are always between 150 and 200. I have no cough, no feeling of tightness in my chest, but nevertheless

Steroid tapering
I have been given more steroids from the dr. I am not sure when to start tapering the dose. I had 12 days at 40mg. I’m on day 4 of 30mg. My next asthma review is the 14th December. I’m feeling a bit better but still waking a couple of times with a night coughing fit. When I go outside it’s sets

Painful mouth from steroidal preventer. Need help please!
My gp has historically had me on clenil and symbicort at different times. Both of these caused persistent and painful thrush even though I use a spacer and I immediately rinse out my mouth. A month ago I was placed on fostair to see if it would have less side effects. It's been worse. I have no thrush

Excellent phone appointment
Evening all as Dixon of Dock Green would say if you are old enough to remember it! My consultation went really well. She thinks that I don't have asthma (which I was seeing treated for but never had any problems) because all my lung function tests are over 100% for my age, height, weight etc. I am going

Diagnosis in tough times for the NHS
Hi all. Was diagnosed with COPD April this year. Can’t have Spirometry yet. Don’t know what type/stage of COPD I have either. I have an inhaler - not sure if it helps or not. Gave up smoking without support so that’s something, though I don’t feel better for it which surprises me. Any advice?

Fostair 200 inhaler
My Fostair inhalers seem to stop working at between 30-50 puffs left. This is at least the third time it’s happened so a bit worrying.

Shortness of breath today
Last weekend I had to have my beautiful cat, Tammy put to sleep. Yesterday, I stayed in bed all day as I felt so down. I have got up today as I have to go to work and I am so short of breath and feeling chesty. I have used the blue inhaler but that has not helped. Is it possible that due to me not moving
