I know this will sound easy for me to say but try not to worry too much. With more knowledge over the past couple of years about Covid it has become apparent that asthma does not necessarily mean worse Covid symptoms.Having said which as advised use blue inhaler more if required. If this doesn’t ease breathing for at least 4 hours. Or you are worried call 111 for advice.

If blue inhaler doesn’t seem to make any difference and they are struggling to breathe don’t hesitate to call 999. But like I say asthma shouldn’t add to your worries about Covid.

Lots of rest, take meds, lots of liquids and food if/when hungry. Hopefully symptoms will pass quickly.

Whilst I appreciate not pleasant. Feeling achy and headaches is positive as no respiratory issues!

Hi, I hope your child is alright Skittles. I agree with Bevvy, medics have come on leaps n bounds since the beginning and please don't hesitate to call 999 if you're really worried. They always prefer going to an asthmatic child than not & don't mind at all, as small children can deteriorate very quickly. Keep an eye on his/her temperature. During office hours you can always contact the AsthmaUK nurses, for contact details click on 'About' above. Good luck
